There's a reason why Q and Savvy as well moved him to forward. Claude Noel doesn't get it.

Yeah, and it's funny how whenever you bring it up, Jets fans say he has no interest in playing foward again. Well, where is the issue then? You tell him what to do or fly home.

I never said his numbers were all world but come playoff time he steps up his game. Ladd over Bickell all day every day. Bickell will never play like Ladd cause he thinks he's more than he is.
And the game 6 goal in the Finals. He scored memorable goals, that is why people remember him more fondly than they should. That goal against the Sharks was a wrist shot from about 35 feet that Nabokov just missed, it wasn't same amazing display of skill. And while it was hilarious he hit Kesler, the guy wasn't anywhere near the puck, it was a pretty cheap shot. Bickell had the game 2 game winner against Phoenix last year. Thats as many game winners as Ladd had in 36 games.

My fondest memory of Buff those playoffs still might be when he laid out Pronger in the corner in the Finals.

The OT game winner in game 3 and then winner late in game 4 of the WCF have to be my fondest memory of him

That was awesome. Completely neutralized Pronger. Did the same with Luongo.

Several moments with Buff stick out for me. The Ivanans hit and when he used Pardy as a human eraser along the glass.

Claude Lemieux scored timely goals and took cheapshots at guys. Claude Lemieux has 4 Stanley Cup rings, Ladd has 2 Cup rings. The playoffs bring out the edge in certain players. Ladd on this Hawks team makes us a better PLAYOFF team period.

byfuglien really isn't bad defensively. he's not great but he plays alot of minutes and brings a dangerous shot, good puck moving/transition skill and physicality to the back end. of we still had him we could pair him with hammer and i think it would be very successful.

You have to be kidding me. Claude Lemiux has 158 playoff points and averaged about 18 minutes of ice a game in the playoffs. Andrew Ladd has 15 points and averaged less than 12 minutes of ice a game in his playoff career. Ladd goes from averaging .57 ppg in the regular season to .28 in the playoffs. Lemieux was .65 ppg in the regular season and .67 ppg in the playoffs. What an absurd comparison.

Not really

Game 5 was horrendous for Pronger but outside of that he had strong final

And on other end outside of game 5 and assist on Eager goal in game 2 ,, Buff was average and contained

Buff is a disaster on D

He negates the offense he brings by being so poor defensively

Scoring yes but Pronger was not allowed to intimidate and assert his physicality on the Hawks. Byfuglien negated that which is all the Hawks needed.

Pronger is a hall of famer. Do you really think being knocked down once would throw him off his game? People on this forum are absurd

Did Pronger intimidate the Hawks in any way shape or form? Not from what I remember of that SC series.

Pronger HOF yes but so what.

No but it's not because Dustin Byfuglien checked him

Here we go with the numbers, the only true tale on these boards to judge a players impact. A players worth in the playoffs can be attributed to alot of things. Ladds is gritty hard work in the corners, timely goals, effective hits that help change swing game momentum. Really doesnt matter cuz he's gone but so far we've had our most successful playoffs when he was here.

Assuming St Louis wins out against Calgary and our AHL team (hopefully), looks like they'll finish 4th with San Jose/LA on Saturday night being for 5th

Nothing. Nobody understood the OP so the thread went nuts after that.
