Inconsistent?
You mean the wheel has flaws?

//Video START

I'm Brandan Shanahan of the department of players safety.
An incident occurred ...
Dustin Brown hypnotized Pominville and thus put him in a vulnerable position where Pominvile lowered his head and drove it towards D. Browns elbow.

There was an injury on the play.

Thus 2 game suspension...

//END video

ha
If you don't find it funny -> lack of humor.

Doubtful. Probably see more Nolan with Kopi before we see something that actually makes some sense.

2 games is exactly what I expected, send a "message" and doesn't cost Brown any playoff games. The NHL suspends based on the injury and not the intent.

When was the last time a Kings player was suspended? Was it Adam Mair for jumping off the bench to protect his teammates during the line brawl with the Sens?

I would expect to see Richardson with Kopitar and Fraser as the 4th line center.

Stoll was suspended in the playoffs a couple of seasons ago.

Yes, it was the series without Kopitar and Handzus was the Kings #1 center for a game.

Pretty much what I expected. The elbow is extended from Brown's body, and it resulted in an concussion. Not dirty since Brown shouldn't expect Pominville to be at stomach/chest level but a bit reckless since the elbow was extended from the body when he was initiating a check. Expected 1 or 2 games and not surprised he got 2 given that he didn't get called for a penalty on the play.

I'd love to eat crow. I still think we have an awesome team even without him, but something about national games against Howard.

Im kind of Glad that he's suspended, Maybe this will make Kopitar elevate his game to playoff levels sooner. This is good for Kopitar.

Howard has been on fire only allowing like 9 goal in his last 7 games. But he hasn't gotten any support.

Going to put this here but for those asking why a second thread was opened on the main forum. It hit the 1000 post mark.

And #13 almost stole that series.

This is so stupid. What was he supposed to do? His head was shoulder height. Any hit would've been considered a hit to the head, he wasn't trying to hit him there. NHL and their ******** knows no bounds.

Quick has been on fire too.

This game could be a 1-0 shootout game or a 6-5 game.

Haven't seen the explanation video yet, but his elbow was extended and hit the head. Injury was the result. No penalty called in the game and I'm sure that is why he got an extra game.

On the plus side, maybe Brown could use some rest. I just hope the suspension doesn't take the beast. Need him playing physically and hitting hard once the playoffs start. Opponents should feel a tremble down their spine when Dustin Brown is on the ice.

If I was him, I'd be to busy laughing my ass off at Shanny to come out of beast mode. It's such a lame suspension that Brown's likely thinking

Could you at least try to not mention Kopitar (and game elevation) in every thread? I mean seriously, Kopitar was a SC champion and lead the playoffs in almost every category there is for forwards...
I'm sure he knows way more what is needed to win then forum nhl fantasy playing users...

Thank you.

On topic:

You could sense that eventually Brown was to be suspended...To be fair I never thought it would be on a play like this, where basically Pominville stormed at Brown head first near ankle level...

Brown isn't considered a superstar and thus doesn't get superstar hearing treatment.
And if any person on this boards trully believes that all players are getting the same hearing and suspensions treatment he needs to think again.
If Ovechkin, Malkin, Stamkos were in Browns place, they wouldn't even get fined...

The only real difference between Shanahan and Cambell is the video montage for fans. And I would rather see a hot actress (Canadian because Toronto) doing them... Would be at least funny and good for my eyes and heart...

2 cents

It sucks, but it's not a surprise at all. Causing injury like that will come with a price, even if it wasn't intentional. At least he'll be back for the Playoffs.

I had to go back a re-watch the latest safety video about contact around the boards. And looking at it almost every hit on them reverse check had a guy moving his elbows up. But the difference in it was against players that stayed upright. The hit caused an injury but the player coming in must take some responsibility for putting themselves in that position. I think he fully thought he was going to get hit and if the player had come in that way he would have hit him square in the chest with his shoulder and the arm coming up would have been the follow through.
