Turris + Noesen + Wiercioch

Eriksson + Morrow.
Take out Morrow and replace Wiercioch with your 3rd rounder.

Turris + Noeson + 3rd

For

Ericksson

I'd be excited about that deal but I'm pretty high on Noeson. If we could get away with switching Noeson for Puemple then I'd be thrilled.

If Zibanejad isn't coming back for Eriksson, Turris + Noesen + a pick should be going instead. Da Costa isn't on that level.

Zibanejad could be spezza's replacement down the road. All signs so far point to him becoming a two way force with maybe the potential of hitting close to ppg. I'd be extremely hesitant to trade him, even for a total stud like eriksson. Cause outside of him, I dont see anyone else on our rosters with the potential of becoming a number 1C.

Turris, I'd keep as well with the uncertainty of spezza and earlier in the year he was showing he what he was capable of when he wasn't the focus of the opposing teams.

It's called keeping all three at center and becoming the envy of the league.

3 good centers = playoffs every year.

spezza line - 20 minutes
turris line - 15 minutes
zibby line - 15 minutes
smith line - 10 minutes

the middle two lines will fight for more minutes every game. whichever line looks better will get more minutes (probably taken away from the fourth line and the other second line). maclean will most likely go with the line that is playing better. we don't have a situation like pittsburgh, where we have two elite #1 centers playing #1 minutes and a second line center playing third line minutes, we have one number one center and two second lines that can play second line minutes. no will should be hungry for ice time.

Would hurt to lose two solid young players in the same deal, but if this offer is on the table Ottawa has to take it.

The Sens biggest organizational need is a top line winger (preferably LW, which Loui presumably is). The fact that Eriksson is on a sweetheart deal is a bonus for the Sens who have shown that they would like to stick closer to the cap floor for now.

Eriksson - Spezza - Michalek
Conacher - Zibby - Silfverberg

If Alfredsson doesn't come back next year we'll have to make a move for a winger, may as well be Eriksson who fit into Ottawa's lineup better than 95% of players out there.

It's an interesting situation. Neither has shown any kind of indication that they are ready to be a #1 center, which is fine for ottawa as spezza still has 2 year on his contract (he will be 32yo upon it's completion). At the start of the 2015-16 season, Turris will be 26 with 3yrs@3.5M left, and Zibanejad will be a 22yo RFA.

Beyond them in our system, Smith is always going to be a bottom sixer, same with jim o'brien. Peter regin is likely going to leave this year. JG Pageau shows promise as a playmaking center, but he's small. Stefan Da Costa has 2nd line upside, but he's running out of time (waiver exemption) to prove it.

I dont think the sens make a move at center this summer. They'll wait to see how spezza is after returning, and also to evaluate how turris and zibanejad continue to develop. Next summer will be decision time: Trade spezza and keep the two younger players, trade one of the younger players, or keep all three (3.5M for turris as a 3rd line center isnt too bad, or if it's zibanejad his salary will reflect his role).

if dallas is looking for a top-6 center to drop in the lineup, search somewhere else this summer. If you want someone who COULD be a top-6 center, throw us a winger of comparable value for stephane da costa.

I used to be on the trade Mika team until Spezza took an arrow to the back. Seems silly now to unload him when he could just play wing if needed and hopefully Gonchar resigns so it means we have no holes to fill unless Alfie retires.

You only want Turris if you're going to put him as your #2C.

If he's getting first line minutes, prepare to be disappointed.

How about David Rundblad and a 2nd. round pick for Kyle Turris?
