Oilers, of course. But it's just sad that the (F)lames are actually keeping pace with us...

I don't think that very many Oilers post 1990 take Terry Jones very seriously. Kevin Lowe did because well, he played during an era when "Large" had clout.

And Eric Francis is just as bad, if not worse than Jones. He's probably writing articles about how the Flames' re-build is over after slagging the hell out of the team a month ago.

To those of you who voted Flames: would you trade our roster for theirs? Didn't think so.

Come on, you're better than that.

No but their heart maybe.

There isn't a single player on the Flames right now that I want.

Do you think the realignment is going to help or hurt the Oilers playoff chances next year?

The way I see it is they only have to be better than 3 teams out of their division and their in.

Current division has

Vancouver
LA
Phoenix
Anaheim
Calgary
San Jose

I think Edmonton can and should be better than Calgary and Phoenix next year, so which one of the other four teams should be catchable?

Every one thought San Jose was not going to have a good year this year because of age catching up with them....they were wrong but do you think it will catch up with them next year?

Most people had Anaheim near the bottom of the West as well...I wonder if they will be just as good next year?

Vancouver doesn't seem to be going anywhere soon.

LA is just starting to play consistent.

I personally think that it will be Ana or San that the Oilers have the best chance of placing ahead of..

Technically yes, i'd swap defences with them.

They've allowed 22 more goals than we have...

All of this drama surrounding the on-ice product might not matter within a few months with all of the negativity mounting around the arena situation.

Just move the team to Quebec then we can all cheer for Calgary.

They're just the Oilers with a different logo.

That's your argument? Doesn't goaltending have something to do with that as well? Just look at their D on paper, and try telling me that ours is better with a straight face.

So you wouldn't trade full rosters with them, ok.

Certainly goaltending has something to do with that. Macdonald was actually pretty decent this year for the Flames.

But it's not the entire issue.

There isn't a single Flames defenseman I want. Brodie might be the only exception, but that's it.
