Hey how come more players haven't started with the playoff beards? I'm not happy with the clean-shaven nature of this team.

You don't start growing the beard until the playoffs start. Unless you have a full-time beard you shouldn't be starting early.

Not the full beards... but I thought guys usually start once the playoffs are close (and the team's position solidified), so as to have more manly stubble when game 1 arrives.

that's cheating. Shave one last time between the last regular season game and the start of the playoffs.

Unbeknownst to us, Geno has been growing out a beard all season in preparation for the playoffs.

It was one thing when they were a young, fun-loving team that just brought home a Cup. Then, you could tolerate it. But that was over 3 years ago. These guys, paid millions, need to be serious, and realize that fans shell out good money (to pay their huge salaries) and we expect better than the dismal playoff failures of the past 3 years. Cut the frat house crap and the country club crap.

Hmm. It seems I have been unaware of playoff beard protocol. Duly noted.

I always get confused by the proper spelling of mustache and moustache. My Canadian keyboard forces me to spell it as moustache. I suppose mustache is the American spelling. Damn you Americans and your lazy way of spelling words by shortening them. Granted it does sound more like mustache.

Heres a scary thought,

The Pens should forgo the Playoff Beard tradition and do a new Team Mustache for the playoffs.
