Brown gets two games. How's that hit not worse than White's? Shanahan

Its funny. I got laughed at here not too long ago saying Plekanec is comparable or even superior to Staal.

Plekanec always had better numbers than Staal, he simply doesn't have the hype. I blame the turtleneck, not having a far better older brothers, not being a high pick and the fact he's not a good canadian boy. Oh he could be a inch taller as well, which wouldn't make any actual difference on ice but looking at roster and seeing 6'0'' instead of 5'11'' would make a lot of people more secure about our toughness as a team. What makes (or made?) Staal better and SO ****** overrated in general is all kinds of superficial stuff and imagined intangibles combined with the incredible chance of playing behind Crosby and Malkin.

Staal is the perfect example of what the Habs should NOT target, players with trade value way higher compared to what they actually bring. Good professional scouting would mean searching for low profile players that actually have great but unappreciated potential.

All trophies should be awarded to Karlsson. Even the Stanley Cup, exceptionally made an individual trophy to honor His greatness.

Kadri is this year's Karlsson. All hardware to him, including face that most needs to be punched by a Hab. Boullion maybe? (Bringing back memories of Tucker.)

Sucks that the team has dropped off for Subban's bid. I thought he might become the new "mention his name 10x a game even when the team is losing" D man. Nah, was never gonna happen anyway.

Agree, but what is even more funny is Eller has much of the same physical traits than Staal (except like, an inch shorter?), and McGuire wanted us to trade our pick for him, while he thinks Eller is a bust.

So true. Before Gally, Eller was (and is, I don't wanna put too much daylight between them, they'll both be impotant) the Hab I think has the most talent and the guy we've been wanting for so many years. For all that Mcguire knows, that data gets awfully scrambled in his head. I wonder how many Habs games he actually watches.

NHL on TSN quiz question: Which would you rather have in the 1st round of the playoffs? Carey Price or James Reimer.

Purpose of the question: pump up Reimer's tires. Pump up Leaf nation's tires. At the expense of Carey (and ignoring the terrible job his teammates are doing in front of him).

I'd like to say Brown deserved more than White, but I don't understand the suspension.

Brown: 0 games.
White: 2 games.

A boatload of other plays: 2 games+.

And two out of three pick Reimer . Classic case of what have you done for me lately. Gotta love Pang's "He's stopping peas through a fog" well in all fairness he reacts like that anyways.

Surprised they didn't ask who would you prefer Nazim Kadri or Connor Mcdavid. Wonder what they would have answered.....

1-1 so far in the Leafs game, it would be nice if TB could win since tomorrow against Florida is a guaranteed win for the Leafs

Lightning with TOTAL CONTROL of the puck in their zone with under 40 seconds left, they turn it over and then somehow leave Lupul completely wide open. What a joke of a team.

And of course, it was Lupul's first and only shot of the game. He'll soon have the shooting % of a NBA shooter.

I expect the Leafs shooting percentage and luck to cease during the POs.
They can't possibly keep this up in the POs.

They won't. A team like Pittsburgh would destroy them in a playoff series.

You know, I don't really care if leafs come in 4th I think we will play better on the road. I think we may play tight afraid to make a mistake in front of the home boys.

I still want to finish 2nd.

If we can win both games, we have a good shot at 2nd.
