OMG, I just said "Go Carolina" in my head. Bleh

And they score again to tie it up. Too bad Winnipeg gets a point now no matter what happens...

Boo... well that wasn't the best night for us.

Well, the teams in 6th, 7th, 8th & 9th ALL win tonight.

Sabres are 4 points out of 8th & 9th. Rangers (8th) have a game-in-and as well.

Yeah, it's just not happening. Even if the Sabres win out most likely they won't make it.

I think we've all come to peace with that fact a while ago but, it's still fun to keep rooting for them at this point.

I wouldn't have said that a month ago though.

So the Sabres game against Pittsburgh on Saturday is being postponed?

They are saying Bos/Pit is being rescheduled for tomorrow

You can watch the Pittsburgh-Boston game on NHL Network here in the United States - starting at 12:30 pm ET.
It replaces the Florida-New Jersey game - which starts at 1:00 pm ET.

Other games on National TV today: Washington-Montreal - CBC/NBC Sports Network - 7:00 pm ET.
Toronto-Ottawa - CBC/NHL Network-United States - 7:00 pm ET. Detroit-Vancouver - CBC/NHL Network-United States - 10:00 pm ET.
(Too bad no NY Islanders-Winnipeg on CBC at 3:00 pm ET.)

8 pts in 6 games for Jussi Jokinen as a Penguin. Remember when he could've been had for nothing more than the cost of his contract, which is reasonable in money and term? Would've been a nice buy-low guy, and he can play some center and win a faceoff.

Oh, Darcy.

Few else have been banging that drum since 2009.

In the Flyers at Canes game, there's a guy right on the glass in a Kaleta jersey who is cheering the Flyers 5th goal.

Brass set.

Leafs officially clinch a playoff spot for the first time since 2003-04.
Last team to do so since the 2004-05 lockout.

Adam Larsson looks like he isn't anywhere near breaking out and becoming that #1 defenceman that everyone expects. Will be interesting to see if he can further his development and become one of the top Swede defenders like Karlsson and OEL or just a top 4 guy. I have to think that both Hamilton and Brodin would have been selected before him if the draft were done again. I realize it's very early into his career but I haven't even seen glimpses of him becoming that go to guy, maybe I just watch him on the wrong nights.

TC Carling ‏@TC_Carling 9m

It took Daniel Sedin 905 games to pass M. Naslund on all-time Canucks scoring list. It also took Henrik 905 games as well. Of course it did.

That's just freaky.

Can't disagree re: Brodin and especially Hamilton going above Larsson if the draft were redone today. As far as Larsson is concerned, though, gotta give him another 2 seasons before you start considering that he may be a bit of a bust.

Deboer seems like a pretty bad developmental coach who caught lightning in a bottle in a weak year for the East. If we can buy low-ish on Larsson, that would be incredible.

I especially don't see what Hamilton has done to overtake the Swede, he's a bottom pairing guy on one of the best defensive and possession teams in the league. Sure, Dougie's been good in that role, but what talented young defenseman wouldn't be?

Yes, I'm sure that guy is terrified about how Canes fans will complain about him on message boards.

Would love to see a banner saying "Southeast Division Champions" hanging in the Winnipeg barn forever. They can leapfrog the Caps tonight.
