I don't know if you would find many to agree with you. More talented? Sure, more competitive? Don't agree.

As far as the CSS Rankings? Please no Shinkaruk...and LOL at Morrissey and Erne rankings.

Eberle has world-class competitiveness. That's why he's been able to take it to another level when the biggest games are on the line.

So say the Oilers win the draft lottery and pick Jones. Could Hemsky, Nick Schultz, Hartikainen/Rajala and a 2nd get you back into the top 8 to take Monahan? Is that good enough to entice a team that wants to win now? Coming away from the draft having addressed 2 needs would be amazing. Then go out and sign one of the 30-something veteran D-men to take that #4-5 D spot.

As a fan of a team with a pick in the #8 range absolutely not.

You might be able to get a 3rd round pick for that package.

That's a pretty expensive grab bag of assets. It would take a team with very particular needs to want to pick up that lot. You're not going to get a prime pick by giving away the assets you want to get rid of.

Not for that. Getting into the top 10 is usually impossible. I guess it depends which teams end up there and what other teams are offering.

I could see CAR and PHI maybe being interested to deal. Phi we don't matchup with as they would be looking for dmen. Car maybe but we would be looking at a combo of players like Gagner, Paajarvi and maybe N. Schultz to get the pick. Then your ha e to figure a team like the Leafs could offer Gardiner and their 1st rder and their package beats our offer. So again odds of getting a top 10 is highly unlikely. Maybe if we offered up our 1st for 2014 plus our second this year with a player might entice someone.

0 chance any team takes that deal. Only way we get 8th overall (on top of our pick) would be to trade one of the young guns. Something similar to the Columbus deal with Carter. (8th overall, Voracek, 3rd rounder)

Something like

To Buf:
Eberle

To Edm:
8th overall (monahan)
Foligno
3rd round pick.

Hall RNH Yakupov
Foligno Gagner Monahan (transition Gagner over)

I'm not saying I'd do that deal, nor I am I saying Buffalo would. But anyone wanting a 2nd top ten pick... that's the kind of deal you'd be looking at.

That's dreadful, Grigorenko maybe, Foligno, not so much

It looks like TBay is going to get the W. Just 1 point back of 3rd overall now

If we lose our last three games which is highly likely playing Chicago, Minnesota (in Minnesota) and Vancouver and with Tampa Bay getting the win tonight it puts the oilers 1 point back. Tampa Bay also plays Florida in their last game of the season Edmonton could possibly get a top 3 pick.

And they've got a game against Florida still.

Canada plays the Czechs at the u18s on TSN at 12 EST(so 10am for you guys out west?) tomorrow.

Lots of draft eligibles playing.

Canada's roster here: http://u18worlds2013.iihf.com/en/teams/canada/#list

Nsh still needs a single point for that to happen. Tmp winning and Edm losing all their remaining games is not the issue. Nsh getting a single point might not happen

It would be comical if EDM finished 27th and once again win the draft lottery.

30th (pick 1st), 28th (pick 1st), 27th (pick 1st).

Best draft tracking one can do, the U18's are basically a draft preview. Careers are made in this tourney, I wish they had more replays of these games.

Say Tampa passes us but Nashville doesn't, and the draft order goes like this:

1. Florida
2. Colorado
3. Nashville
4. Edmonton

How's that going to play out? Is that the order that sends Drouin to 4?

I'm seeing the 2013 draft rankings on NHL.com (http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=6...d=nhl:topheads), but does anyone know where I can find a consolidated list?

Doesn't help me too much for my fantasy drafts to have the NA and Euro skaters on separate lists...

Thanks in advance!

NSH always gets up for a game vs DET - they hate the Wings.

But boy, getting them to grab a point against DET/CBJ when they're in the midst of a super-intense playoff race is going to be tough. Let's hope they motivate themselves to play spoiler for one of those division rivals and earn an OTL

There is no way Nashville doesn't take Drouin if he's there at 3. They need an offensive dynamo BAD.

Anything could happen. At 4th I'd hope for Barkov, might just miss him though.

I see Mackinnon, Jones and Drouin going top 3, but Barkov just might get picked before us at 4. I'm getting pretty excited to see us with a strong possibility of getting Barkov.

If the oilers loose out, Nashville picks up 1 point and Colorado wins out the oilers will be drafting 2nd overall pending lottery.

Edit: Tampa also needs a Point too
