I still say the best (and most dearly missed) former poster was that kid with the salsa recipe.

What was his name, Marcsavardismygod91 or something?

One of the best threads on here, to which Greyhounds and Meg contributed to it as well as acr. Another couple of great threads- Kirk's Bizzaro World thread and Craig's Rally Mustache thread. Avatar goes to you, though, Lawrence, with Sammy Sniffles with second placed Mike Ribiero.

Congratulations on your darling baby girl! I'll just bet she keeps her Daddy quite busy.

Chalk me up as another frustrated Savvy fan.

Hope you don't mind but I put your "Day in the Life of Dave Lewis" on my Facebook page the night the B's won the cup, just so we could all remember how bad they were a short time prior to their cup win.

Welcome back!!

As a relative newbie here I feel like I'm crashing a party, but I gotta say, this is a cool thread, somehow conjuring old posters out of the woodwork.

To neelynugs, whambamcam, ladyfan, geewally, erfus, etc. Do you guys remember way back, we did a HFL fantasy draft? Picked players in an enormous multi-thread style? It certainly helped pass some time during the first lockout. I just remeber that thing taking FOREVER to finish, and sometimes we'd go a day with no picks being made haha.
There is still an HFL Sim League. Not sure if any of the original member are part of the new incarnation, but we have a lot of fun with it (mostly lol). Our playoffs are going on right now.

i'm crying over here thinking of that dave lewis thread.

also very underrated were some of the rip jobs on shean donovan's stone hands. boston bruno was datsyukian with some of his work.

This guy drove me insane.

Nugs, I'm having a hard time figuring out which HFL team was yours. I want to say it's either the Jaromir JagrBombs (Confound is the GM and posts here), or the Alaska Mystery. Both of those teams made the playoffs, but got beat in the 1st round.

I think I took over SlickM32's team, could be wrong though.

Wow....now that's a name drop. Constant outrage to the point where all I could do is laugh. The nostalgia in this thread is becoming overwhelming.

Nugs team was the STL Sonza*****es, and I know he had Brodeur as his #1 goalie. I hope it isn't the Albinos? Nugs would not be happy to see what has become of his team, if that's the case

I used to agree a lot with Jeff from Maine. Dr Quincy and I disagreed but would still go back and forth, and he'd write super long posts which I liked. Weasel Soup was cool because she obviously was a fan of fantasy genre novels. There was a guy with a Norm Macdonald avatar, he was a good one. Then there was this guy who was a huge Blake Wheeler fan, and disagreed with everyone about everything. As for why theyre gone, usually life gets in the way, or this place gets old and quick look ins are all that's needed, etc.

Good to see the amnesty policy being used.

Took weeks to draft and gain consensus.

These threads go to 11.

Smerri, TwineTickler, futureconsiderations, rmack, shinny, BruinAddict, Blowfish (may have finally lost hope that Zinojev was going to come over), Silva, saskbruin, Abyss, BostonPC,

And that guy who absolutely adored Raycroft and hated Thomas. Was sure Raycroft would develop into a vezina/cup/smythe winner while Thomas and Boston floundered. Lost... now likely on purpose.
