Might not be a bad idea to give him a little time to rest.

I just hope that they are gonna be smarter this time and play him on his good side. That would be much more easier for him to play his game.

You need all types of Dman to complete a roster and Tinordi fits the bill. Hope he's ready enough to have a defensive impact. Hould play on his strong side.

This move confirms that Whiskey was a pretty mediocre trade deadline move. Preferring a rookie over Whiskey is pretty much a last resort move.

I wouldn't count on Tinordi's playing a major role in this season's playoffs. He might help a bit, though.

So far, the worst move made by Bergevin in his rookie season.

Meanwhile, O'Byrne was a +1 tonight, with 2 hits and 3 blocked shots.

Drewiske makes O'Byrne look Chara-like.

We should bring back Bulis if we are to judge people by single games. O'Byrne is a terrible hockey player. Ask Avs fans.

Well O'byrne was bad on a really bad team so I can see him being better on a decent team, when I first said a list of guys that included him that we should have gotten instead of Drewiske I got laugh at...one of my basic of thinking was the fact that we needed a more physical guy.

I can too, although the division MIGHT be on the line, in fact it WILL be since we won't know, if Boston doesn't lose before the Ottawa game. The Tor game becomes a must win. I hope Ott is eliminated before then.

OMG are people considering scratching Markov?

Even during our slump he's our second best D. I wonder whether people watch hockey games or just look at his skating. This guy has never been the fastest skater and has never been physical, I have no clue why people expect him to suddenly do so.

Bouillon (or even Gorges) should be the one sitting a game.

It would be to rest him for the playoffs, not because he's worse than Gorges or Bouillon.

I don't think many people ( hope not any) are suggesting that we bench him for any other reason than the fact he looks dog tired.

Of course. Ever seen a Leaf fan say something bad about their team? They are going to talk about him as a Norris contender next year if he's still there. Second to Phaneuf of course.

There are Leaf fans that will be upset if Kadri doesn't win the Norris this season.

Or are going to use their "just wait til next season" pass (cuz it's their thing) for Reimer and the Vezina.

Because it's always better to judge players over an 8 game period rather than a 172 game one?

He was doing great in Colorado when he first got there playing 20+ minutes a game and then came back to reality.

Markov has been on the ice for 47% of ES Goals Against.. sure doesn't sound like a D that's "second best".

Agree. Too many arguments propose "Defenceman X is better than Defenceman Y so X should play" when IMHO a D-Corps needs different pieces with different and complementary skills. Now we need a big physical presence do we know if Tin is In vs Jets?

Leaf fans and their Reimer or O`Byrne. Sigh. It`s amazing to see the success go to their heads. It`s like a starving man who hasn`t eaten anything substantial for years getting served spam or baloney and thinking it`s caviar, steak or salmon

Back to the thread subject; I think Tinner (funny nickname for Jarred) is the best choice to address the loss of Emelin.

I will have a mental breakdown if they don't use him on the PK.

They will, MT has said it explicitly and a lot of questions to JT have been about how he'll help the team on the PK.
