2-2 now.

Bussieres with 1 assist so far. He shot on net then someone got the rebound.

EDIT: 3-2 BLB... Wings prospect scored.
EDIT2: Wow, what a start in the 3rd. 3-3 now.

Wow just wow.

Bench clearing brawl after the game. Think Bussieres might be suspended though...

EDIT: 2-2 in the series now.

Looked like the refs had a hold of him the whole time

Which is a sign that he will likely be suspended. He had no point to chase that player after the game was over.

I expect a couple of suspensions. Even though, the 4 goalies all fought...

Tyler Graovac's team is losing 3-1 in their series.

Game 5 is on Friday. Hmm, could be nice to see him in the AHL playoffs.

Is the series winner even going to have enough able-bodied and eligible players to ice a full lineup when the QMJHL championship series begins?

Six Drakkar — Bussières, Cadorette, Jérémy Grégoire, Bokondji Imama, Alexandre Ranger and Gabriel Verplaest — could face supplemental discipline from the QMJHL. The Armada's Marcoux, Paquette, Aaron Hoyles and Ryan Tesink also received multiple penalties for fighting at the end of the game.

It might have started with a set-to between Bussières and Paquette, but all coaches and players have to bear some responsibility. The teams combined for 38 penalties in Game 3 the night before. The bad blood carried over, then it boiled over, and the result is shameful.

Remind me why we picked this kid in the 2nd round. He doesn't really seem like anything special. What else could we have had?

They have 50 goals in 12 games for 4.16 goals/game. 3 other guys on his team have as many or more points than the guy. First rounds are goal fests anyway. If he wasn't doing that I would be very concerned. So no not really impressed. That kind of production is expected. How many points did he put up in those blowouts with Sherbrooke?

Edit: Ah hell I will just look it up. 9 points came in his first four game where his team swept Sherbrooke winning by 27 - 7 total if you add up the goals. So they were scoring 6.75 goals per game during that opening series beatdown.

So now Bussieres has had a total of 6 points (1 goal) in 8 games since that series. Nothing special

He's been just fine, he wasn't drafted to be a huge scorer anyways

Bussieres was streaky all season but when he was on, he was a monster. I don't know what to make of him. Also, both Phillips and Coyle were dominant during the playoffs, especially the first two rounds, they were like 2-3 PPG. One of them jumped right into the NHL, one of them struggled to play in the AHL. Hard to project.

Have you seen him play? I am guessing no.

Bussi is the type of player that you put on a line with two skilled players to add sandpaper, but he actually has the skill to keep the offense going (unlike say Clutterbuck or Bulmer, which are hitters who also have the physical ability to score).

He's the exact kind of player that gets drafted in the 2nd round.

Kind of reminds me of a Scott Hartnell type of player.

Bus is a project and he was drafted to be a physical player. Like a really solid 3rd line winger or a decent 2nd line winger if he hits his development. For a 2nd rounder its not bad, considering we got plenty of skill guys in the system at the time.

This wasn't a Colton Gillies incident where we drafted a guy who never showed any offense and we gave up a 2nd round pick to move up and take a guy who was going to be there.

Solid pick with decent upside

That would be fantastic.

I admit, I have not seen Buss play and I have been a bit down on him, but you guys are definitely changing my mind.

There has to be a distinction between physical attributes and a hockey mind.

Gillies, Clutterbuck, and Bulmer games are based on their physical attributes, but all have poor hockey minds, Gillies especially.

Bussi shouldn't be grouped with them just because he is a "physical" player. Yes, he's not an offensive wizard game in and game out, but he's got a decent head for the game, which is why he can play with smarter players.

I think Bussi's comparision in the NHL would be like a bigger Marchant, but without the constant motor.

As of right now, Bussieres hasn't been suspended but all 4 goalies have been (1 game each) + head coaches (2 games and $5000 fine).

EDIT: Official suspensions: Armada: Houle (head coach) 2 games + $5000 fine, Cisse 1, Tesink 2, Hoyles 1, Marcoux 1, Decelles 1. Paquette $1000 fine.

Drakkar: Veilleux (head coach) 2 games + $5000 fine, Gregoire 1, Verpealst 1, Cadorette 1, Desrosiers 1, Banville 1, Imama 2 and Ranger 1.
