Really? Who would you rather face? VAN? LA?

I would love to see Carter Hutton get the start against Calgary. Dude has not had a sub-.900 season since his first year in college, and has not played in the NHL yet. He deserves one. The remaining games are meaningless.

Uh.... we're the #1 seed in the West. The team already had a target on its backs. Same would've been the case if Pittsburgh overtook us, especially this season when the east and the west are effectively two distinct leagues.

If we don't win the Cup, then getting bounced in the conference finals rather than the first or second rounds will be nothing more than a consolation prize to the disappointment of not winning it all. Bring it on, anybody.

I now have this strange desire to see the Hawks win the Jennings trophy.

The Cup, you say? No thanks, I already have a drink.

May have misspelt his name. He's a soccer player. He was just suspended 10 games for biting an opponent and has been suspended for biting an opponent before. Was also suspended for racist comments he made in a game to an opponent.

Back to hockey. LeBlanc looked okay, I'm not gonna make any decisions about him at this point, need a bigger sample. Sharp came out healthy, which was the most important thing of the night.

Can you drink out of that top thing? If not, who gives 2 ****s?

I'd prefer not to face Detroit or Columbus. Dallas would be better for us IMO, but at this point, I'm kind of hoping Minnesota continues their slide and finishes 8th.

Just goes to show, you can't make outlandish comments about a player based on a play, period, game, or bad stretch. To be fair, that applies to their good moments as well. I don't think we have to worry about LeBlanc though. He looks like a player for us, if not next year, then sometime in the near-future.
Did you expect anything else from this crowd. The what you have done for me in the last 5 min is more important then what you have done for me in the last 5 years group.

I read those comments, laughed and waited till the end of the game to pass judgement.

Using the whole game as a barometer this kid clearly has the skills and aptitude to play this game.

He reminds me of Saad in many ways, good size but and uses it well, with some speed too, willing to go to dirty areas to make things happen, 2 in all areas of the ice, and have that built in hockey sense that others don't.

I was already President.

I only saw the last 2 minutes of the 2nd, and the whole 3rd, and thought LeBlanc looked great out there. I obviously can't speak to most of the game, but if he can play like I saw on a consistent basis, he is definitely a keeper.

Yes BUT in baseball the starter can go 8 2/3 only to have the closer blow it...then have his team score in bottom of 9th and the CLOSER gets the win.

Oh man, I know what you mean. The Hawks had such a hard time against Det, Columbus, Minn, and Dallas this year. Just think about all the points they dropped against them.

I'm just going off my memory and a quick check of results, but weren't the Hawks undefeated against those four teams this year?? If not undefeated maybe they lost a point or two? They just finished the season on a 10-1-2 run for heavens sake!!!

I'm about as cautious of a person as you can be when it comes to predicting a victory for my teams, but the first round series should be a formality. It will be one of the largest upsets in the history of the NHL if it happens based on performance against those teams in the regular season.

I really hope you were being sarcastic.

Well....his play fits the class of the 'Pool fans. nC.....No Class. And on another topic....looks like an all German CL Final is going to happen.

I would like to see none of our core play St. Louis. This way they maybe bump up a spot and play Vancooter first round and beat the crap out of them.

I hope you get bounced in the first round.

Not because I fear us playing you, but because that's what your players and fans deserve.

have a nice day.

Remember 1991?

I was at all three games up at the Met Center. Worst sporting moment(s) of my life - as a fan.

Not saying that would/should/could happen again, but I wouldn't be too overconfident. I've still got the bruises to make me more cautious.
