Some people love it, others hate it. Truth is, it's been good to us, I'm riding out the monkey theme until the end of the season. The playoff push is not over! Lets get the best seed possible. Let's go Islanders. beLIeve!

So now we're riding the monkey? It keeps getting more and more bizarre in here...

Not sure I'm going to see much of the game tonight since I'm flying up to Rochester tonight. BUT, I am going to the game in Buffalo tomorrow so I guess that's a good trade-off.

Let's Go Islanders!

If it ain't broken don't fix it buddy! Man it's fun knowing we are playing down in Philly with a spot clinched and they're in last place.

Think I would probably give poulin the start and have nabby go in buffalo.

It's going to be weird seeing them not having to worry about clinching. Still think we win 3-1. Kyle with two goals, Cizikas with the other.

A win would be nice. I'd love for us to avoid playing the Bruins or the Pens at any and all costs.

I'll be there repping the NYI in the PHL.

It's technically a work event so I can't be rocking any of my gear but if you hear cheering coming from the club boxes when the Isles score, it'll be me

Flyers are not to be taken lightly, their defense, while suspect (Gervais? lol) has been playing solid lately and they've beaten some playoff caliber teams the past two weeks. Not to mention Mason looks a lot more comfortable the past few games and could give us fits.

We'll definitely need the first line to show up tonight if we're going to come away with a W.

Honestly, I think the Isles know how to beat Mason. Along with that D, throw the puck at dude's feet and crash the net.

This is actually a pretty big game and because of of that I would start Nabby. Lose this game and if Rangers and Ottawa win we would be in 8th. We cannot let that happen. I'm sick and tired of being the 8th seed when we make the playoffs. Lets get the 5th or 6th seed and make some noise in these playoffs.

Lets see if I can do this from my tablet. I wanted to add some good luck to this thread, hopefully I remember how to post images.

Playoff mode. Focus, rinse, repeat.

Islanders - 9
Blazers - 6 (Poulin starting?)
Blazers - 1 (Nabby starting?)

Agreed. I'd much rather see them take 6th or even 5th. Nabokov can get a couple days of rest before the playoffs start.

probably a good idea starting Poulin, although this is starting to look like an L, because Poulin IMO is freakin AWFUL!!! Just get 2 tomorrow, I guess... Eighth is BAD! Lets Go Canes, Panthers, and Caps...

Nabby has been the backbone in our run and we need to rest him as he's been overworked. If we are to do anything in the playoffs, we need him at his best. The boys will still play hard for Poulin and the run has been fueled by a complete team commitment to defense (aside from Boyes, he's a waste).

I could see Nabby playing tomorrow to get the work in before the break before the 2nd season.

Boulton and Carkner in - I guess Jack wants to avoid monkey business with our skill players.

Agreed, the Flyers have nothing else to play for. Better to be safe than sorry.

Hickey sitting is interesting. He's been playing a lot and could use a breather and he could possibly be a little banged up, he's not a big dude. We're going to need him in the playoffs so I hope it's nothing more than that.

That appears to be the plan:

Quote:
@StapeNewsday: If it's Poulin tonight/Nabby tomorrow, would imagine #Isles want Nabby to rest, but not have 5-6 days between games. 4-5 more acceptable.
