Kyle's actually pretty cool in person. As long as you didnt ask him to sign your chest or something weird I'm sure he'd have been cool with your recognizing him and saying hello.

Weird that he was at the Bellevue. Isles usually dont stay there when they're here in town.

he may have just been for a walk, and saw there was a starbucks there? i believe athletes usually stay at the ritz which is about 2 blocks up on broad street from the bellvue, which is probably the closest starbucks to the ritz....

also the westin though, in that case, idk why he'd be there...

Correction and updated: Bryzgalov (not Mason) vs. Poulin is the expected goalie matchup for tonight.

What was Tweeted by Sam C. has been changed and updated.

Thats pretty cool none the less.

Personally, I don't think I'd bother a professional Athlete if I was up close in public. Perhaps a comment as we were passing, like good luck tonight, or something, just so they know they were recognized, but I wouldnt want to disturb them. I'm sure they get it all the time, and enjoy being under the radar a bit when they can get away with it.

I've never met any NHL'ers while they were in the NHL though, just a whole bunch before they turned pro, like Mike Richards, Steve Mason, Steve Downie, Clarkson, Simmonds, Giroux, pretty much anyone that passed through Kitchener at one point or another over a few year period when I was working for the team.

It would be fun to see Mason get another 40+ shots on him and do well. Doing stuff like that should be huge confidence builders.

You are right , Twitter had said Mason, but now say Bryz !

Save mason for Sens, Jets may need us to win that one !

Bryz in goal, not Mason. Mason first one off and Bryz not here.

Again, my bad on Mason. Bryz in tonight.

Mason will start tonight.

Lol nice. And spell it out haha.

I lived next to JVR before his big deal in his first few seasons and I'd say good game last night or nice goal or whatever in passing through the hallways.

My favourite thing to do when seeing famous people is to go:

'y'alrite (insert first name)' and nod at them as I walk past!

They are usually pretty confused, but doing this has got me talking to some pretty cool people, and they usually instigate the conversation with 'do I know you?' I also never ask for autographs... I think they find it refreshing being treated like a normal person for once.

I had a 15minute chat with Manchester United and Norway legend Ollie Gunnar Solskjaer (even though I am a Man City fan), a drink with Senegal Football international Makhtar Thioune (well he had an orange juice as he's a muslim!) he actually gave me his email and said if I was ever in Norway ask him for some free tickets! Also did the same with Dishasi from Gym Class Heroes after a gig, 2 drinks for about 30mins and also Sajid Mahmood the England fast bowler in cricket!

They seemingly react far more favourably when you do that.

A Flyers win is key to keeping a Leafs/Habs first round match up.

I would have to moderate that that debacle.

I don't hate Tavares but I kinda hope Schenn just smashes him into the wall. Let the Isles know that they might be in the playoffs this season, but next season is really when **** goes down.
