You had the same reaction when he was announced to start against Minnesota as well.

Rinne hasn't played in awhile. Maybe we'll return the favor and play Mase against Cbus too.

Chris Mason is in net tonight versus the Red Wings and Filip Forsberg has been sent to Milwaukee... I think we've just seen the order of 'DIVE! DIVE ! DIVE!' from the Pred's after the last home game!! Just hope we get the next Gretzky instead of the next Bonk with this freaking pick!

Columbus fans probably shouldn't watch this one tonight.

The tank's now on auto-pilot.

Actually, he's been stellar in SO's. No one around him to knock him off the puck.

If it comes to a SO and I was Cbus, I'd pull the goalie against Smith, and see if he tries to roof it again.

The Kings failed last night in doing this (a big "sorry bout that" to the rest of the western conference).

It's up to Nashville to do some heavy lifting tonight.

Get er done!!!

I think it's funny that Mason is in net and Fisher is back in the lineup too. Fish, go home and rest. Be ready for the start of the season.

Forsberg is heading to Milwaukee to prevent burning a year of his ELC and get him there in time for their playoff series. If Mason plays tonight like he did against Minnesota, this is a tight game. If he plays like he did in his last start, Detroit's playoff streak continues.

Time to play spoiler.

I know he's good in shootouts. I was merely pointing out that it should be lone and not loan and tried to think of a clever way to say it.

I'm not advocating for losses, but...if our play in any way could lead to the Wings and Jackets making the playoffs over Suter and the stinking Wild, I wouldn't be sad.
