A win tonight would allow Montreal to rest some players on Saturday if they wanted to. But a win tonight also means they can still finish 1st in the division.

Depending o how you look at it, a OT loss is perfect.
They get the point, get home ice in the first round and get to rest players vs the leafs and if all goes well Ottawa loses out and gets knocked out of the playoffs finishing 9th.

I hate the Sens as much as I HATE the bruins and Leafs!

I want to see:

Tinordi Markov
Subban Gorges
Diaz Boullion

Ideally I'd replace Boullion with Pateryn, anothe big D capable of playing on the PK. He's a good shot blocker as well

I didn't think so either, but i've felt that way before and they keep opening the door.

Never know what can go wrong for them in any of those games. Same goes for us, but it's not the craziest scenario by any means. If Ottawa hasn't clinched on that final day and they have Karlsson back, could be the ticket. I would much rather MSL gets another hatty and Rask has a terrible night, but yeah, unlikely.

I do agree that WSH has nothing to gain and thus will not be firing on all cylinders, but you never know, could be a combo of a bad game by the bruins and Caps not wanting to let off the pedal. Holtby could stone Boston again (like last year's playoffs) although I'd bet Neuvirth gets the start IF they are resting players.

I've noticed that non-playoff teams seem to have extra energy and have won a lot of their party pooping games. They know they have a couple of games left in the season so I wouldn't be surprised if Tampa does put up a fight. Really depends on Boston. We should never have lost half the games we have in the last 2 weeks, but we did. NJ was a HUGE missed opportunity.

I approve of your lineup given Markov needs a physical presence to really be Markov, although Pateryn barely looked like he could skate. I know he's been great in the AHL, but he looked shaken in the call up. For playoffs, hellllz no!

Boullion is better than the hate he gets. Great bottom pairing.

It will likely be Markov Diaz (those are the correct side I believe), Tinordi Boullion, which tbf has its upsides as well so long as Markov and Diaz can really get things going 5 on 5 like they do on the PP. This requires zone presence, of which we have had none in forever!

Just need one little point to clinch the 4th spot, or any loss by TO in regulation , OT or SO. TO gave 5 goals in three of their last 5 games. How come we can't beat these ******** ?

Come on boys. just do it !

I was predicting 60 points for the Habs this season.

You must have thought the lockout was going to end a lot sooner

Actually, I was predicting that at this start of the shortened season. And a 5th or 6th place in the Conference. I was counting a lot on Price (!!!) and the MaxPac-DD-Cole line (!!!)

I'm hoping for sens win and habs win, and Winnipeg still somehow making the playoffs. Maybe NYR gets knocked out? I'm not up on my points math.

#55, immortal so long as daddy is around, ruining the 2nd wave PP and sucking at defending the transition.

Maybe not.. The Leafs still don't have 5th locked up yet and could get passed by the NYI. If the Habs can lock up 4th with at least 1 point tonight Saturday's Leaf game against the Habs may still have some meaning for the Leafs if they want to stay in the 5th spot. I figure the Leafs would rather finish 5th and play the Habs or Bruins instead of slipping to 6th and getting the red hot Caps in round 1.

We can win in extra time and WPG can theoretically still make it. I would hope if this happens that's it's actually in OT though, not SO.

If he's not out of gas, he's one of the few guys we have left that hits. I really don't mind his veteran presence when used correctly. I bet he'd win a race with LJV.

He's certainly a very bad radio host. How come they just don't keep him as an analyst ?

If CBC can give a job to PJ Stock, I guess Nilan can be hired by TSN...

It's the team 690. They're all bad.

Way I see it is at least he's trying to do something positive with his life.

I like the guy, and good for him to get a job. He is interesting to listen to when he is talking about his own experiences or analyzing the game, but hosting a show is a different ball game. Team 690 is part of the TSN network,

Slightly redundant plus Markov-Gorges would be bruuuuuutal the way the two have been playing lately.

Tinordi with Cube has the most potential and worked out well last time. Markov needs someone who can get to the puck quickly, cuz he sure as hell can't. Diaz fits the bill, plus them together helps launch the attack, provide possible options from the point (if we ever gain the zone).
