These are the year that if im correct were stated above as being the year they are going to...I hope its the gold and I hope its a precursor to a complete retro change next year cuz I believe to change the everyday unies there is a deadline to let the league know.

well they said they were going to wear the black with the necklaces so if they are switching to the 67 style then something must have come up in the last two weeks.

ok I just saw on BB.com about patrice throwing out the first pitch. You would think it's gonna be the gold jersey because they don't want a white shirt for their alternate and providence has been wearing the gold the last couple years.

also.... if they're a 3rd jersey, white makes no sense since they'll wear them at home, so the P-B's one makes sense.

then I remembered this...

Beginning Oct. 26, when the Canadiens come to Causeway Street, the Bruins will sport vintage renditions of their spoked-B sweaters, styled after the ones Bobby Orr and his fellow Black-and-Gold swashbucklers wore in the late 1960s. Think: split neckline with string lace. (Bring back a bench-clearing donnybrook and the picture is a Picasso!)

According to Charlie Jacobs, the club's executive vice president, the Bruins intend to wear the black version of the vintage sweaters in all home games against Original Six opponents (Montreal, Toronto, Chicago, Detroit, and the Rangers).

``No more third jerseys -- we're going vintage," said Jacobs.
I'm aware of what CJ told the Globe on this matter, but this email was received from Bruins media relations for photo-op reasons yesterday (Thu.-0907) so I am more likely to consider it the more accurate representation -- who knows if CJ could be confused as to the detail of what the "Big Bads" wore vs. Orr's rookie year. Thanks to the poster that put up the nhluniforms.com images of the white and gold (didn't realize it was up before my last post). That guy does a tremendous job with those year-by-year changes.

I've got a matching set of Jonathan and Jordan Sigalet's gold Providence alternates from last season. They are beautiful jerseys...fans will love them.

It was announced on Sportsdesk last night, I saw it too.

the price will keep dropping on the pooh. Soon you will be able to buy it for $4. In the future, if you're getting rid of a jersey it's probably not the best idea to tell people that what they're buying will soon be obsolete.

Those jerseys look pretty nice if I do say so myself.

Where can I get the black one?

I wish the Bruins would revert to a full time vintage look. I used the tremendous artwork from NHLUniforms.com to come up with my proposal.

Awesome proposal! I really wish they would go with that look or maybe even go to the 80's Neely Era look that I grew up with. Either way, nice doctoring work on the great nhluniforms.com images.
