I guess it's unreasonable to ask for 8 straight home runs.

Revere isn't in the lineup, so you never know.

Durbin should have been cut after his first outing. He has not looked good in any game this season. But I've said it a million times and obviously Amaro refuses to do it cause he's an idiot. A guy with an 87 mph fastball has no business pitching in the bullpen.

I hear Chad Ochocinco is looking for work. He'd probably give it a go if asked.

I'm not exaggerating when I say that just about every pitcher in this game has had nearly double the ERA of the guy who came before.

Chase is overthinking everything he does. That's the only conclusion I can come to. He's way too smart to be making some of these boneheaded moves. He's their best hitter and he's trying to do too much.

And yet he's been the teams best overall player

No doubt, but you can tell he's trying to pick up for everyone else. I think he'd be even better if he just had to worry about himself. When Chad Durbin was out there, Utley was even out there on the mound telling him what to do at one point.

Rollins was the same yesterday. Going for the double in the first and later getting thrown out at home after freezing on the base paths. They are thinking about the next guy and thinking about how even one mistake could kill the whole game. They aren't having fun out there and this is what's going to keep happening if this same **** is allowed to continue. They need to fire the manager, not because it's completely his fault but because the team is not responding to him anymore.

By the transitive property, Charlie (Charles) is also a Chad. It explains a lot.

I tend to agree with the manager situation but Amaro also has to pull his head out of his backside

Wow. Tigers beat the Braves 10-0. Anibal Sanchez pitched 8 shutout innings and had 17 K's.

Awesome outing by kk

It's kinda messed up that he now has the lowest ERA amongst phillie starters

Sweet swing by Brown. Happy the Phillies are giving Bone some runs.

EDIT: Mayberry just golfed one out.

edit: anyone else notice justin upton is tearing it up right now? he hit his 12HR of the season earlier today and now how has 18RBI on the season. the phills really could've used him, well not this game but you know what i mean.

Revere has soreness in his quad. It's a good excuse to keep him out of the lineup right now. Probably won't play until next week.

And Upton has been great, but he's playing way over his head. He'll come back the earth eventually, I believe. But it would've been nice for the phillies to get him, but I doubt they really even had the pieces needed to make the trade.

Good news is Howard is hitting the ball a lot better now. He might've had 3 homeruns if they weren't in Citi Field. If he starts hitting, it would solve a lot of problems. And they are getting Ruiz back tomorrow. Hopefully they can start to string some wins together.

Talk about golfing it out of the park. Hamels needed that.

Nix has a pinch hit single. Rollins works Niece and gets a hit. And then Howard gets a pinch hit RBI double (2 RBIs). Nice.

I love Hamels and I know he was battling the umpire but 17 walks in 34 innings is not acceptable. Throw strikes damn it!

Really, the umpire today was unacceptable. There were pitches down the middle and he just stood there. Hamels needs that low pitch to be called to be successful. I just can't stand umpires and their constant variation of strikezones. Obviously, Cole needs to walk less but he still kept the team in the game and got the win.

Hopefully they keep it going into the next series. They keep getting back close to that .500 mark and then fall back again.

i agree. he's had two seperate ump so far this season that were really squeezing him. i mean he issued 6 walks today and a decent amount in the other game i was talking about so if you take that into consideration it doesn't seem so bad. it all evens out over the course of a season.

lets string some wins together please and get over .500
