They made the playoffs. As far as they're concerned, they have ALREADY won the Cup.

I think Winnipeg comes out flying, Price shuts the door and we start rolling again.

Well we've been having belly laughs at their expense for a half century.

If they beat us, let them gloat. It will be short lived.

Both teams playing well, Tight game where habs come out on top would be the best scenario for playoff warm-up.

They've still gloated for that half-century. I'll never have mercy on that team.

Come on, just a point! Is that too much to ask? The Jets will probably throttle us though. I don't loo forward to any Habs games now. We've been the worst team in the East since the 5-1 thrashing to Toronto. If this team goes down with a pathetic 1-7 record to end the year and all they needed was 1 more measly point for home ice, then I'm convinced it would've been a collapse along the lines of 2009 and perhaps no playoffs at all if it was an 82 game season. This always happens to the Habs since they're never built to last. Fatigue, being overmatched from a lack of size 06-08 we've never been lucky health wise. I'd say this year was fortunate enough though. No major players were out for long stretches. If we had just one impact guy go down, it'd have been curtains long ago. And they'll have no one to blame but themselves considering Toronto and Boston have lost games here and there during the same stretch.

The last 2 weeks was a grey area for the habs. They couldn't focus on or find a short term goal that would turn on the switch. Now there is. Human nature.

His bear hugs are pretty good though. We could actually really use the 2010 Gill right now (not sure how you guys grade Tinordi's speed).
You're probably thinking of his fight vs Rypien. He was a mean mother****er so it's really no surprise Gentle Giant Gill got lit up.

I remember a couple other fights he had with Montreal but nowhere near the hilarity of watching him get pummeled from below by Rypien.

We're going to get killed in this game if we come at like we have the past 2 weeks. Winnipeg is playing their finale and will give everything they have.

2-0 Leafs. Saturday's game matters no matter what but I will be irate with this team if we turn that game into a winner take home ice scenario This team had a 25-8-5 record two weeks ago and to go from that to 5th and starting our 11th out of 14 series on the road since 1994? Just would be so deflating.
