Might as well get the new thread going before the Bills pick.

Rams move into the Bills spot for the 16th, the Rams 2nd and 7th.

My dad is really pissed they didn't pick Geno just now.

Have to see the return, but like the decision to trade down. Get some more picks, and probably still get the guy they want at 16.

Bunch of quantity for that pick. Hard to believe that was the best they could snag from #8.

I can not stress enough how brilliant this trade down is. Bills cash in big on the Austin sweepstakes getting 3 players before 46 is HUGE.

Idiot team.Geno Smith right there and we trade the ****ING pick.

But you know Buddy JUST NEEDED to replace that 7th round pick he traded for TJax, this senile ****ing idiot is the worst GM in the league.

Now we can watch the Jets draft Geno and dominate us for the next 10 years while.Don't worry, Buddy will draft the next Torell Troup and Aaron Williams with our 2 2nds

The Rams gave up No. 16, 46, 78, and 222 for the Bills No. 8 and No. 71.

So the Bills gain a 2nd and a 7th in exchange for dropping 8 spots in both the 1st and the 3rd rounds.

I bet Smith is still there at 16 if they want him. In which case it would be genius: get the guy you wanted AND extra picks to boot.

It's the right move. No QB is worth taking at that spot.

They'll still snag a QB at 16 and get an extra 2nd in the process. Seems like a good move. I keep having to remind myself how different the NFL draft is compared to the NHL one. In the NHL, it wouldn't have been a good deal...

Just going to throw this one out there, but if there is still no movement by 16 for a QB then I would hope Buffalo is in play for another trade down and pick up another good pick.

I would too.

Nobody in the 2nd half of the draft order are going QB. Would be pretty safe move.

You and I think so alike. You should become best friends with the STS.

How great would that be to have a late first with potentially THREE 2nd's?

If he is then good but you don't give up a pick and hope he is still there 8 spots later just to get another 2nd.We should have drafted Geno and be done with it, now the Jets will probably get Geno and the Raiders Nassib or Barkley

Buffalo can now squeeze into #12 and cost only a 3rd if they are really scared of the JETS taking their man.

Listening to the pre-draft chatter, I wonder if the Bills are sold on either Smith or Nassib. It wouldn't surprise me to see the Bills target Landry Jones in a later round from hearing their scouts loved the guy, and using the earlier picks on other positions of need.

Roll with Kolb/Jackson, most likely Kolb (who didn't exactly get much support in Arizona) and if Jones doesn't turn out to be a legit prospect, draft QB early next year.

Very happy with this trade.

One of Smith, Nassib, Barkley is sure to be there when we pick, plus we get additional picks on top of that. Great!

I don't think enough separates the top QBs where that would be necessary. So what if the Jets take one of them...just take another. Unless you really have one guy that you really like way more than the rest, and you think the Jets will take him (and I don't think Jets are gonna go QB).

Agreed. Just pointing out options that the Bills now hold, this is shaping up to be a paradise draft for the Bills. Lots of flexibility going forward now.
