You can't make decisions based on past history. If that were the case the Bills should forfeit their draft picks since they rarely hit on them .
no i wanted them to realize that maybe this draft isnt the place to get a QB, and build a team properly

If Manuel develops and becomes another Roethlisberger while Nassib/Smith become fringe starters are you going to care about the draft day value?

Terrific pick, bigger upside than any QB in the draft

I think Eifert and a Tenn WR will be the 2nds.

i dont need to know which of these middle of the road QBs will be the best of the 2013 draft to know that #16 should not have been a QB pick

it'd be a miracle for eifert to last into the 2nd, especially past ATL

No chance Eifert lasts that far. Ertz maybe, but even then I wouldn't hold my breath. Would love it if they could grab Hunter.

Eifert will be gone by then. Ertz may be available though.... maybe.

I do wonder if Buffalo could have traded for STL's 22nd pick rather than the 16th and gotten more back if they were targeting Manuel...

We could say the same thing about any player in the draft "if" they become so-and-so. I don't think anyone believes it's likely for Manuel to develop into a QB like R-berger.

I'll say this much, if any of the other Qbs were all that great, we wouldn't already be at 20+ without any of them picked yet.

this argument...LOL.

Yeah the Bills are sooo good at drafting, like when they picked the steal of the draft Torrell Troup exactly one pick ahead of some bust named Rob Gronkowski.

Or when they drafted all-pro Aaron Williams exactly ahead of busts Andy Dalton and Colin Kaepernick.

The Bills haven't made the playoffs since 1999.They are the worst drafting team in the whole league, aside from the Raiders.

Huge if though...if Manuel flops and Nassib/Smith become All-Pros...

STL might not have wanted to give up that many picks though (in number).

Which is why Manuel at 16 doesn't make any sense

True. I would've hoped for Nassib...at #41. At #16 I would've looked for defense.

Bills went for a boom or bust guy. I don't mind it. Seems like the other available QBs are a bunch of middle of the road guys.

Yup. I'm glad they avoided Geno and Nassib. I wasn't sold on either of them. If Manuel develops into the best QB of the draft, this is a big win.

Also, if Manuel was their guy all along, you can't just sit and wait and hope he slips to your 2nd round pick with all the bad teams that get to pick ahead of you looking for QB's.

At the end if the day they got their guy and it looks like we could get great value twice in the second. Lets give the kid a few years before we crucify everyone. I will say that I think we have the right coach to help him grow.

Or it means the rankings are so unpredictable they went with the guys they targeted rather than sweat out some other team thinking the same thing they were.

Well in their defense they aren't exactly ever in a great position to succeed (selecting 7-11). I mean the Panthers are awful at drafting too.... they get lucky and get Newton. That is what one player can do for you.
