Watched 10 minutes so far and Price is the only reason the Jets didn't start this game 5-0. So many breakaways.

Beaulieu played much better than Bouillon has and would give us a better threat on the second wave of the PP. The only problem is, who do you play him with? Can't have 2 rookies together.

Tinordi played fantastic...I hope Therrien keeps him in the playoffs to lighten the Bouillon/Markov minutes
It feels great seeing Desharnais play well, we NEED that line to succeed in the playoffs
Price played great and made some unreal saves
Great game overall

Our faceoffs have been beastly of late.

When you consider DD and Eller both started the year at like 43% after 5-10 games, that means that they are well over 50%, as well as Plekanec. Nice.

I still wish we had a Bergeron, but it's still positive.
Great point. Plus Dumont is good as well

Doubt it's up, but it was a breakaway save on Wheeler so I'd just check youtube later.

Eller has more secondary assists than primary and his point totals are increased by having Galchenyuk on his line.

Lol as much as I'd want the team I root for to win the division, my logic tells me that, that would be a win-win haha. As a B's fan I really don't want to play the Rangers & Scumquist.

Beaulieu isn't ready IMO. He's good, but his successes on his callup were simply from raw talent. I'd much rather bring Pateryn up and let him be a solid stay at home guy on the third pairing.

Markov-Subban
Tinordi-Diaz
Gorges-Pateryn
Boullion

Is pretty balanced IMO. It could be re-arragned as well.

Don't be ridiculous man. This type of post is as bad as the posts that hate on Desharnais and call him an AHL'er or whatever new stuff they come up with.

Eller has better absolutely fantastic this year. Desharnais has struggled at times (still on pace nearly 50-points) this year. Eller has no doubt been better than Desharnais over the course of the year, but Desharnais has been nowhere near as bad as some people make him out to be.

Hopefully both of them have another level for the playoffs though!

PS. I really, really, really hate people's tendencies on this forum to put down a player they dislike (usually for no good reason) to elevate a player they like.

I actually wish the team didn't give up on St-Denis.

A St-Denis/Tinordi pairing would be very reliable, I think. And holy ****, that pairing would be a breathe of fresh air because both players know how to get the puck on net.

Great job on the win guys. Hurts as a Jets fan but I still follow and love the Habs. Bittersweet but I hope this win is what you guys needed to turn it around and go deep this year!

Yeah that could work out real well. Down the line if Tinordi keeps playing like he did tonight I'd be down for putting him with Subban and leaning on him. Probably too much for a rookie but he's just the exact player this team needs.

Classy post! I hope you guys make it next year, I love the players on your roster. If they can be consistent, they'll be really scary.

Anaheim resting Selanne, Koivu, Getzlaf... are leading 2-0 against the Canucks, outshooting them 24-8.

Maybe we could rest a couple of players too. Especially Markov and Prust.

Is that why Eller is the highest scoring member of his line while DD is only a point ahead of Eller playing with near point per game Max Pacioretty? Eller is even outscoring several members of our top 6.

VAN has nothing to play for though. They are locked in at 3rd.

TOR will be playing to avoid falling to 6th and playing the Capitals, which is something any team should look to avoid.

We need a gif of that sequence. Man PK has superswag.
That was a pretty good sequence I also liked how he stepped up for Markov that led to Ladd drawing a call. I thought he played great and tinordi looked good out there.

1. Secondary assists are still valuable - for all you know, he set up beautiful plays only to make a pass, then have the shot tipped. Point is, you need context to outright disregard secondary assists.

2. Lots of players have their points increased by playing with another player, it's called chemistry.
