I think you have the wrong sport... I've never seen the Browns get relegated.

No, no they're not. It's incredibly hard to stay ripped like that on a yearly basis. Specially when you play a hard schedule like hockey. Most have normal bodies. (Well normal in the aesthetic sense, not in the fatso sense.) In this picture, St-louis definitely just did a bit of a pre-contest diet a week or two before the photo shoot and VOILA. (If only it was that simple)

Although I'd rather it be though winning the division, avoidance of the leafs until a later round could happen quite possibly by them dropping a game (either to florida, unlikely or to us) with the Isles winning against philly and buffalo (who are out but playing well). Isles need to pass Toronto in pts cuz of less ROW.

If they win their remaining two, they get 58. Toronto needs a win and an OT loss to match that. If they lose to us in reg (doubt they lose to the panthers), could be another way. I just don't want to play a leafs team that is for the most part solid these days until we've got our **** sorted out. If we lose to NYI, fine, that's on us, but it's palatable. Still think we have a better shot against them even though they seem to have our number.

Most players would kill to have his legs.

How could he win the Norris trophy again? He only played 14 games this season.

It was meant as, do not want to see Karlsson back as he is good and makes Ottawa a deadly team.

Even if he only did play 14 games, it's Karlsson, I mean COME ON!!

Habs need to get a point tonight. Need to make Saturday's game meaningless.

Not holding my breath though.

This is maddening. If Ott wins in OT jets eliminated. I wanted this to happen before the third period, so jets would take the foot off the gas a bit.

OTT WINS! Jets out, and you better bet they know it.

Karlsson comes back from freak injury about 1 month sooner than expected, plays 27 minutes.

CBJ up 2-1.

They finish vs NSH, so it's important that they win this game so CBJ goes all-out vs NSH and then you hope TB gets at least a point at home vs FLA so NSH picks 3rd.

My post yesterday, so far all correct:

Here's my best case scenario:

Thursday:

Habs beat Peg, thus locking up 4th and home ice. 61 Points. 1 game left.

Bruins likely beat Tampa. 61 points. 2 games left. 1st in division.

Toronto beats Forida (likely) and Isles lose or tie at Philly, Toronto locks up 5th. 57 Points, 1 game left.

Saturday:

Habs rest Marky, Cube, Gio, Prust, Price, and anyone else who needs a week off to rest, and to avoid injuries in last game.

Toronto also rests key players as 5th is a lock, and they can't get 4th or 2nd.

Habs beat Laffs with AHL team. Much laughter and drinking ensues. 63 points. 0 games left. 26 ROW.

Bruins beat Washington, who will rest players after locking up 2nd. 63 points. 25 ROW. 1st in division due to game in hand.

Sunday:

Ottawa beats tired Bruins, locking up 6th, meaning we don't face them. This is good.

HABS win division, with one more ROW than Bruins! We open at home Vs Isles or Rags! More laughter and drinking ensues.

Extra bonus, for even more partying and drinking:

Bruins open at home vs Laffs, and will likely destroy them, and get destroyed themselves.

Extra Extra bonus:

Habs start at home again, in round 2, facing a destroyed Bruins team!

The only problem is that Toronto still needs a point to stay ahead of Ottawa, so they have a good chance of beating us Sat if we rest 5-6 players...and they play their full lineup. Hope they don't.

I want Ott 6th though, I'd rather play Loafs than them in round 1.

One other minor thing. Too bad Van is losing. It's great to finish 4th or 2nd in east, but I want to finish as low as possible overall NHL, for the best pick possible.

Even though they lost, good to see Panthers gave it to Kadri. Hope the Habs won't let him be too comfortable on the ice.

MSL would be on pace to have a 100+pts at 37 years old, so amazing.

Saw in the highlights that he got punched in the face twice, the Panther was ejected from the game, IIRC.

.@mt_winston My favourite hockey player of all time is Wayne Gretzky. His talent, passion and commitment set a new standard for the game.

Talking hockey from space, epic.
