Playoffs matter.

The Ducks/Nucks game doesn't.

The best way to reward fans on Fan Appreciation Night is to not get injured.

Late to the party but the CBJ have done what they need to do... now, if Dallas can find a way to win in regulation on Saturday I'll give every Star player and coach a free trip to Tahiti...

Even though we won't get in, you do know Chicago beat CBJ every time, by one goal in each of those games? Only one. It could go either way, and some of those were with Steve Mason in net.

Fluke. A season of lucky wins robbed us of Seth Jones

The Staubitz goal looked soft, but I thought Luongo played very well. Hiller obviously great as well.

The Staubitz goal was soft. It tipped in off Alberts' stick but Lu still shoulda had it.

Better said...

Even though we won't get in, you do know Chicago beat CBJ every time by just one goal , in each of those games......Only one. It could go either way, and some of those were with Steve Mason in net.

Regardless, Detroit will most likely be playing Patty Kane..... that will be fun to watch.

Maybe Vancouver didn't give a **** in a mean-nothing game, and chose to rest their key players by shortening their bench in an effort to get out of the first round of the real season this time.

Either that, or they all sat around the locker room before the game and giggled about how funny it would be to mess with the fans on Fan Appreciation Night, and then they went out there and acted accordingly.

People act like this stuff is atypical at this point in the season!

Not that I give a damn about the loss tonight, but you're trying to make the point that the team didn't give a s*** on Fan Appreciation Night? What a team....

Don't make excuses man. The loss doesn't mean anything but the team still played like crap should have played better.

Yes... but they also had a line-up full of young players looking to make an impression

Canucks took a night off, big deal... Pens lost 2 in a row to Buffalo and NJ, guess they're getting swept too

Vancouver fans are being uncomfortably...not upset about losing to a team missing a good chunk of its team.

Why should we be upset though? The game meant nothing, the team just came off a dominating performance against the best team in the league, and they're trying to stay healthy for the playoffs. It's a write-off game IMO, not one to be worried over. And this is coming from a Canucks fan who is usually very worried with the team when they pull no-shows

Yeah Anaheim did the same thing to Chicago, and then went on a tailspin afterwards

It probably has something to do with being a very good team the last few years. Canucks fans have learned (I'm still learning ) to forget about what happens in the regular season, the good and the bad.

That being said, I'm not exactly happy with the loss. Funny enough, though, a rare thing happened tonight. The players, even our super calm captain, were quite vocal about how displeased they were with the effort tonight. The Canucks have played much worse games than this one and have not even been phased. This one clearly hurt them/annoyed them. If you were a Canucks fan who has followed this very apologetic-in-nature team, you'd understand how encouraging that is!

Anaheim had a number of players playing tonight trying to earn ice time in the playoffs. Plus, it was Anaheim - Vancouver. The games are always bizarre. Usually a lot more high scoring and entertaining though.
