Milan Lucic vs. Keith Aulie April 25, 2013

This was probably less about the fight, and more about Lucic getting involved from a physical standpoint. Hopefully he keeps it rolling into the playoffs.

Win for Lucic over Mohammad Aulie. I wish that guy was still a Leaf.

I think Lucic is a really good technical fighter. He has insane balance and when he misses with the right and is somewhat exposed, he knows (learned, perhaps), to toss that left jab which keeps the other guy (usually) from really putting a counter punch together. He is so strong as well that he doesn't really get manhandled.

But it totally was about Looch getting back into his game, which starts and ends with being physical. His feet were moving last night, he hit with intention, and made good decisions with the puck. Very nice to finally see the effort and passion (from the whole team, for that matter).

I think Looch wanted this bout more than Aulie, and like Brick said, huge kudos to Aulie for answering the bell.

Props to Aulie, even though he got hammered.

Producers who select a rinkside cam to show a fight should be demoted to fetching donuts for someone who knows what the hell he's doing.

When Lucic has his confidence up he is probably the most effective player on the Bruins, if he can get something going then they could make a much bigger playoff run.

There wasn't time to take the lids off before the fight started. So your comment is pretty much pointless.

It was fine for the beginning of the fight, but when a linesman drifts into the picture and stands directly in the center of the screen it's probably a good time to change angles.

Speaking of people that know what the hell they are doing, it would be the director that choses it, not a producer

And I thought it looked great

During live broadcasts, studio/truck producers have a direct hand in camera selection. The specific title associated with each task is a semantic issue that depends on the crew involved. In any case, producers will be involved with those activities in some capacity.

WTF was Aulie thinking?

He's CLEARLY not a fighter and yet he was the first to drop his gloves.

He tuned up pretty good there.

Aulie can definitely fight, Lucic was just too much for him, which is the case for most players.

I give him 2 solid puches (26 and 28 seconds) just before Lucic gets going again.

lol@Lucic fighting guys like Aulie. God that guy makes me sick how he ducks all the heavies in the league as much as he can and fights guys like Keith Aulie.

I dont really care the Bruins fans will cry their eyes out but Lucic has become a disgrace. This guy constantly fights weaker players or guys he knows he can win against and ducks guys like Scott, Orr etc etc etc

Funny how he runs around like a loose cannon against the old sabres and tries to fight Gaustad et al. But when he plays tough teams like NYI or TML...he is no where to be seen.

Not to say I wouldnt mind him on my team but the ducking has become way too obvious with this guy. Its blatant.

Nice. You stopped at two. Anybody else he has ducked? I don't see too many so called heavies calling him out.

He didn't try to fight Gaustad, Gaustad challenged him.

So when he played the islanders earlier this season and put Carkner on his butt, that doesn't count.

Which Leaf has he ducked?

What threads do you see on this board? Do you see Lucic vs Mclaren? Do you see Lucic vs Orr? Do you see Lucic vs Fraser. Do you see Lucic vs Scott..I can go on all day the heavies he ducks. I see threads like Lucic vs Gaustad ..Lucic vs Aulie..Lucic vs Prust. Lucic vs Gleason There is a trend setting in with that young man and it aint pretty.

Lucic vs Carkner? lol. It is the consensus of most posters on this board that he has been washed up for awhile now...so funny how he fights a washed up tough guy instead of a legit heavyweight

People will disagree with my post and I dont really care...its my opinion that Lucic ducks tough guys and fights guys he knows he can beat or at least is a favorite and avoids the others. I remember when Lucic would play the leafs when they had no tough guys and he was running around punching out Komisarek and trying to rattle Schenn..and constantly running around. last season he would run around against teams like Montreal and Buffalo. Why does he not run the leafs anymore? Weird how it suddenly stopped. Let me guess..he doesnt play against th scrubs? Thats a lie because ive seen him on the ice numeorus times with heavyweights and he avoids any type of contact with them.

Given that, I would still take him on my team any day but Id like to see him actually fight some tough guys instead of these little featherweights and 60 year old enforcers that should have retired 20 years ago. Whats he going to do now? Pick a fight with Bobby Clark?
