Play Off Scenarios/Schedule

Hey guys,

I'm looking for some input for the possible scenarios, given the standings and Bell Centre Event Calendar. I managed to get tickets to the game 3 home game, but will be out of town for a week in May (scheduled to leave on 10 May, but I will try to reschedule to catch the game if I need to). It would be a disaster if Toronto leap-frogged us and we lost home ice advantage!

Event Calendar:
Rihanna - 1 May
Marie May - 3 and 4 May
http://www.centrebell.ca/en/page/calendar/2013/05

If we have home ice advantage are we scheduled to play on 29 Apr? Will we play back to back or have 2 days rest (Rihanna concert on 1 May). Maybe someone here works at the Bell Centre?

I'm sure I'm not the only one thinking about this.

Thanks in advance!

You should check the ACC schedule cause that's where the Habs will be playing games 1 and 2

Only if they pass us in the standings though... right?

Hopefully you're right but I don't have a good feeling and it's probably best we start on the road anyways

Playoffs start on the 30th, so if we get home ice advantage Game 1 & 2 will likely be Tuesday/Thursday.

My pure, personal speculation, if we get home-ice:

Game 1 - April 30 (Tue)
Game 2 - May 2 (Thu)
Game 3 - May 4 (Sat)
Game 4 - May 6/7 (Mon/Tue)
Game 5 - May 8/9 (Wed/Thu)
Game 6 - May 11 (Sat)
Game 7 - May 13 (Mon)

If possible, that's probably the ideal way for CBC to cash in.

It is still possible we don't play the leafs either by coming 2nd, or by the Isles coming 5th. Or by leafs passing us and boston (unlikely, but not impossible). I wonder if that changes things for CBC and whether they stagger the Habs series and other series.

If we don't play the Leafs in the first round then I expect the Habs to be on TSN. CBC would pick Toronto and Vancouver with their first two picks.

That scenario would be perfect. Really hoping we don't lose home ice advantage.

Really hope it doesn't play into the Moosehead's playoffs. Tough decision if that comes up.

If we win one or two of those last games, chances are we'll end up taking the division. The Habs have the ROW advantage over the Bruins.

The way things are going right now, I would give this scenario more than an unlikely chance of happening.

Toronto wins their last 3 games against TB, Flo and Mtl.
Mtl and Bruins get 2pts or less.

Would mean Toronto wins the division and a Bruins-Habs 1st round matchup. Ready?

Would rather the Habs/Bruins in the 2nd round...

So according o RDS last night game 1 is Tuesday. If we play the Leafs I assume 2 is Thursday and 3 is Saturday in Toronto. CBC will have a *****
