Columbus, Minnesota, Detroit, choose two

7. Detroit: 47 GP, 54 pts, next opponent is Dallas
8. Minnesota: 46 GP, 53 pts, next opponents are Edmonton and Colorado
__________________________________________________ _
9. Columbus: 47 GP, 53 pts, next opponent is Nashville

Which of these two teams make it?

I think Minnesota should be a lock considering they have the easiest opponents, but you never know.

I personally hope it's Columbus and Minnesota, but I think Detroit will make it over the Blue Jackets since all they need is one point.

Poll closes Saturday, so get your votes in

I'm gonna say MIN/DET.

I'd prefer MIN/CBJ but I think it's unlikely.

CBJ looks like they are on a mission.

The Wild may be the odd man out, esp. if they lose to the Oil.

The Wild because they are playing the Oilers and the Red Wings because they are the Red Wings. It's too bad because I really wanted to see the Blue Jackets make the playoffs.

I really think it will be Detroit that's the odd team out. They are playing Dallas, a descent team.

Detroit has won 3 games in a row, they gave everything. I feel they'll be gassed out.

I am rooting for Columbus all the way to make it.

I think it'll be us and Detroit. I just hope and pray that we get the 6th (if we win both games and San Jose loses in regulation to LA on Saturday) or 7th seed because there's no way I wanna play Chicago in the first round. Edmonton should be a win given our record against them at home the last five or so years (Backstrom is 17-0-0 in that stretch). It very may come down to the game at Colorado since Detroit will likely beat Dallas.

I'd rather see DET/CBJ make it in, but I think DET/MIN will.

I think all of them win their next games and CLB will be out, they all play teams with no incentive to win. Today was the game changer, im saying it now.

Who holds the advantage in tie-breakers?

At work, can't check.

Minny has 2 games remaining with 21 ROW, Detroit and CBus have 1 game remaining with 21 and 18 ROW respectively.

For the poll, it'll be Minny and Detroit.

Thanks.

I'd have to agree with Minnesota and Detroit; especially when you add in the fact that Columbus is behind in ROW.

It's too bad, I wanted to see Columbus make it.

I would prefer the following situations, in order:

Detroit/Columbus, with Detroit as the 8th seed
(Detroit loses to Dallas, Minnesota loses both, Columbus wins)

Detroit/Minnesota, with Detroit as the 8th seed
(Detroit gets at least one point, Minnesota gets at least one more point than Detroit and/or wins tiebreaker)

Detroit/Columbus, with Detroit as the 7th seed
(Detroit wins, Columbus gets at least one more point than Minnesota)

Detroit/Minnesota, with Detroit as the 7th seed
(Detroit remains tied/ahead of Minnesota in ROW and/or ahead of Minnesota in points, and Minnesota gets as many or more points than Columbus).

Interestingly, I wouldn't be surprised if all Anaheim fans are rooting for a San Jose loss combined with two Minnesota wins; it certainly saves the Ducks some wear and tear in round one. The Sharks are best off with a Blues loss to Chicago and an OT win over the Kings (sets up a home-ice 4/5 match against LA).

I see Detroit losing to Dallas.
Can't see Columbus losing to Nashville.
Minnesota only needs one more win against either Edmonton or Colorado then.

I'll take Minnesota and Columbus.

If Minny loses to Edmonton and Colorado, they deserve to be out of the playoffs.
