Hutton Tomorrow?

Don't know what thread that discussion was in, but it's new 'news' so whatever.

Something to tell his grandchildren someday

Hutton potentially being the #2G for the playoffs.

It's funny that you guys are so worried about Hutton. His consistency isn't there but when he's on his game he can steal an entire series. If he could clean up his game a bit he'd really shine, he's got a good deal of skill and speed.

Carter Hutton = could steal a playoff series
Corey Crawford = never won a playoff series

Looks like we found our starter

The thing about Hutton, is that he doesn't seem to have a lot of technic/fundamentals to fall on when his game goes south. He seems to be all battler, and can get too scrambled at times. At this point, he's what? 26? So that's not likely to change. He's an athletic guy though and not without talent, but not enough structure to be an everyday NHL goaltender, either in a backup or 1B role.

That alone sparks my interest. It's been a while since we had athleticism between the pipes. Other than a few RFD highlights, I've not seen the kid play.

Hutton is nothing more than an AHL goalie. Hope he wins tonight
