What a joke. Sutton is 4th in the league in +/- and having a great season, why would they trade him for Audette makes no sense, but then it wouldn't be another crappy rumor.

At least it's not more of the "inside info" trade rumors.

Just curious if anyone knows this… if Audette were to pass through waivers unclaimed – which is likely to happen – and Gainey agrees with, lets say, Albany to loan him there, does Audette have any say in the matter?

I don’t want to see him in Hamilton taking away ice time from any of our prospects, but I get the feeling he might not report to another team if he’s loaned there. If he doesn’t have that power and doesn’t report, then he doesn’t get paid, but if he can negate a contract on a loan then it looks like Hamilton until a deal can get worked out. It’s already been said that buying him out is unlikely, so other than putting him in the press box every game, loaning him to another team is the only other alternative I’d be happy with.

He has no say in the matter. A player that clears waivers can be loaned to any team in any league affiliated with the NHL.

Good stuff, thanks Buffaloed.

Perhaps the Wolves aren't out of the question so Atlanta can get a closer look.

Who would want him on there farm team I mean my god the guy is a freaking little weasel. All he can do is teach young promising prospects how to glide around and do nothing and then laugh his ass off when he gets benched. Honest to god I hate him so much even more is the fact that his poor playing is excused because of his injury which is **** because he sucked with dallas too.

it is something that i can't understand ; how someone could HATE a hockey player just because he's at the end of his career and isn't still effective ????

i can understand , to the limit , that there is a kind of typical players that we like to hate ( personaly i hate Lindros because his baby mind and his dirty play ),but hate Audette , ???

If Stefan was ever offered in a deal, I'd make the trade in a heart beat. This kid has more talent than advertised, and if we succeed in extracting his game, we would indeed be in the benefit for it

Audette and 3rd, 2/3 Audette's salary paid

for

Stefan

This gives us another talented young player, whoms ceiling I feel is still yet to be reached for a player, who has been a good player in Atlanta's past... Both players could benefit from a change of atmosphere. There certainly is no doubt about it... And the third would pay off any expectations of possible potential Stefan may/may not have left in him. I still feel he could reach 60 some day.

As for Sutton, he's good but his +/- is proving that he may be of some strength to the Atlanta line up... To be fair to Audette, he has not received the ice time since leaving Atlanta (mainly because our depth as well as Dallas' are deeper I feel in the RW position than Atlanta... It could be very well that he succeeds in Atlanta again, and contributes to Kovalchuk's/ Heatley's line for their play-off run)

I'd do it in a heart beat

Its not so much that I hate him its just that I hate his whole attitude towards the game and the organization. I mean christ even if this guy was scoring 100pts a year I would still not like this little weasel, just thinking of him laughing makes me wanna strangle him

A tad extreme.

Secondy, if Audette was potting a hundred points a year, everybody would kiss the hem of his hockey sweater, you included.

Let's face it. Audette is a one-way player who has lost the one way he knows how to play. I personally would be surprised is he does well elsewhere, including the AHL. at this point in his career. But strangle him---sheesh. get a grip.

Im not saying I would strangle him but just thinking of him laughing as if his whole situation is a joke makes me wanna consider it. But there you go again defending him because of his injury which is ********. Whats also ******** is the fact that you think I would be kissing the hem of his jersey if he scored 100 pts a year. No way buddy not if he still played the way he is playing now. I probably wouldnt trash him as much because he would be making up for his lack of defence, heart, etc. through scoring but I sure as hell wouldn't be wearing an Audette jersey screaming your #1. I would put him in the same boat as Perreault.
