Son of a *****. If we had beaten NJ then the Flyers would have been bounced from the top ten in the draft. Still Flyers can now end up anywhere from 8th to 13th depending on that last game.

Leafs are such a Jekyll and Hyde team. On some nights they look like they can beat any team in the league, but on other nights they look like they've never played together as a team before.

When they're clicking, they've got the fire power to be dangerous. When they're not, they look like a defensive mess. Over a seven game series, you just gotta hope that the latter team shows up more than the former.

Ryan Clowe left the game vs. the Hurricanes tonight... NYR board thinks he may have gotten a shot to the head; was wobbly and had to be helped off the ice. Others are saying a possible leg injury. Didn't look bad to me but it was a bit of a delayed reaction. That would be a pretty good blow to their depth.

I thought that he was disappointing them, after he lit us up right when he came over. Has he gotten it together of late to be that big a loss?

I will take the Islanders or Senators. We SHOULD be able to beat either team fairly handily. Whether we do or not is another question. For the Isles, just keep them off the PP. They can't handle us 5 on 5. Sens similar thing. With Karlsson back, that PP will be very dangerous.

I'm with you. Tough pick between those two: Ottawa struggles to score goals a bit more, but Anderson has been the better goalie this year. Very slight preference for Ottawa, I think. Then again, as I keep saying, I'm a lot more worried about Bylsma (and line combos/in game coaching) than I am about any potential opponent from the East.

Yeah Anderson stealing a series is always a concern, but we haven't had too much of a challenge with him this year. I believe Crosby and Geno have still yet to score a goal on Nabby, although that has more to do with injuries than anything else. We should be able to beat either team in spite of Bylsma's line combo nonsense. The issue though is he will be reluctant to change if they win.

I hope the Isle lose in regulation tonight just so the speculating can end. Don't want to wait until possibly Sunday evening to figure out who Pens are going to play.

I want the wild to get that 7th spot....Detroit to face Chicago. All the years rooting against Detroit in the playoffs will feel weird actually wanting them to knock somebody out of the race

Nah. Game means nothing to EDM and despite the way last summer went with Liarpold, I'm happy that Minnesota hockey is on its way back. That's our hockey capital and it's better if the team there is legit. Would rather see them make the playoffs than an underwhelming Detroit team that's been there every year for over a decade.

It's coming from the Ranger fans perspective; I looked around the net for some info before posting and they seemed to be pessimistic about their chances without him. I couldn't say if he really is that valuable overall, I haven't paid much attention to them lately, but based on how he played against us (obviously just a 2 game sample size) the loss would be big in a 1st round NYR-PIT matchup.

Really hoping for an Edmonton win in regulation tonight. I'd be pretty happy to see the Blue Jackets in the playoffs this year.

Isles playing like they want to face the Pens. Sabres can't finish like they did against the Pens the other night. How did the Pens lose 2/3 to these guys.

Buffalo and Edmonton leading early. Tomorrow could be a crazy day in the west.
