CORRECTED: seems like that was the 2012 1st pick. Outrageous nonetheless.

That sequence shows how relatively tame Kessel is.

I like the way Kadri punches the Panther player in the face after Fraser tackles him down from behind.

This PO could get very ugly.

Hope the Habs want to win the series bad.

NYI trailing 1-0. They will "clinch" 8th if they lose.

Islanders are slumping at an even worse time than us. If by some miracle we can get 2nd it would be great news for us though, since the Rags are basically the best case scenario for the first round.

I hope the Wild miss the playoffs (for the sake of Columbus) for the way they mishandled Granlund.

I'm pretty sure the Islanders have won 6 of their last 9 games, and two of those losses were in OT/SO.

I'd actually prefer to see Detroit miss out on the POs. There comes a time when empires must fall.

I know it's early to say, but that's a very feast or famine team and this is the second game in a row they look listless against a team already out of the playoffs.

I hope Minny will be out just to show their owner that you cannot buy a plyoff spot even if you throw almost 200 million out of the window.

Best in terms of how MTL has played them this season, but NYR has really strong fundamentals and one of the league's best in net.

I'd personally ignore the season series and rather face the teams I think are worse, in this case it would be the Leafs.

The Islanders are interesting, Visnovsky seems to have been massive for them, they've been an above average squad with him in the lineup. They could be a lot more dangerous they've been given credit for. On the other hand, their goaltending stinks.

Yakupov stat padding in a blowout. Ugh, not good news for the Gally's in the rookie scoring race.

At the end of the day its better for the team for their guys to do worse on the major award races. Nominations and victories for major rewards are treated as factors in salary negotiations.

By the same token, I think Subban deserves a Norris but I don't care so much if he wins it.

Wow. Just checked the Oilers - Wild score, 6-0 Oilers. Thought that one was going to be a cakewalk for Wild and they would clinch tonight. They still have another lousy team to play in Colorado, so they should clinch then, but wow....

Chicago needs to wake up, half an AHL team is all over them right now.

As for the rookie race, I was hoping Galchenyuk would end up with more points than Yakupov to shut some people up around these boards about how Yakupov is so clearly better and has so much more potential.

Hopefully he has a big game against Toronto tomorrow!

But even if he doesn't, is 2 more points by Yakupov really a big deal when he averages 2 more minutes per game than Galchenyuk?

Hawks were all over the Flames in first period but the Hawks are in cruise control

Content to sit on lead now ,, No need to risk injury to our key players

And as I type this Kruger makes it 3-1 Hawks

Go into the Calder discussion thread on the main board and you'll see what I mean and why it bugs me, Yakupov is often viewed as some sort of God that no other rookie in this class will ever match and his late season hot streak when his team is out of it is some sort of proof of it.
