He'll be closer to Lennay's family at least. Didn't feel like ILB was a big need. Donald Butler was making some decent strides as a starter. O-Line and secondary still have big holes. I suppose you could talk me into Te'o as a value pick.
It'd be nice to have some sort of upgrade over Jeff Cumberland at TE at some point, especially when the Pats have two All-Pros there, and other teams are loading up on big TE's. RB's are a dime a dozen, but they do have to make an attempt at 'some' point to improve there (maybe they trade for Chris Ivory later). WR's they do have Holmes coming back and maybe bring back Braylon. Kerley's an okay #3. Hill was god-awful last year but you gotta give him another chance with that size.
I'd also like to see an upgrade over Vlad Ducasse at guard at some point too, I don't understand how we haven't gotten rid of THAT elephant in the room yet.
or ya know, we could have kept either of the two starting cornerbacks we let go, not signed steven jackson to carry the ball five times a game, and drafted somebody to actually fix the joke that is our d-line, but yeah just keep doing your thing dimitroff. offense totally wins championships, amirite?
Words can't describe how happy I am that the Packers got Eddie Lacy. Dude is gonna be the steal of the draft. He's EXACTLY what we needed. Downhill, power runner who can also catch the ball out of the backfield. I've been really down on Ted Thompson lately but so far he's changed my outlook on the team for this year. 2 great picks these last 2 nights.
Scott, you're pretty much the only reasonable Jet fan I've ever seen
I would say there's no way that's possible. But then I remembered all of us Jets fans are idiots. So I'm not totally surprised.

Last year I had to yell at fellow Jets fans criticizing either the Coples or Stephen Hill picks. They were complaining that we drafted a DE first (or a WR second if it was that pick) when we have so many other needs. I had to tell them that you can't address 8 positional needs with one pick. It doesn't work that way. Those same idiots were bashing the Geno Smith pick because of all of the other needs we have.... I didn't get into telling them the fun fact that one second round pick can only address, at most, one need. And that quarterback is a bit of a need. It could be argued that there is barely, if anything, resembling an NFL quarterback on this roster. Sanchez, who needs a change of scenary. Tebow, who isn't the answer (he was misused last year more than saying he shouldn't be here, but that's neither here nor there). Greg McElroy who was a late pick who hasn't shown he's worth much. And David Garrard who hasn't played in 2 years. Why the hell not to taking a QB in the 2nd round honestly. And people are complaining about it.... The same exact ones who probably wanted to take him as of last December, and wanted to do so in the first round too I'm sure.
Again I like the 3rd round pick by the Giants. Needed another DE with Osi gone. Kiwanuka will start with Tuck, but both are getting older so another was needed. Still see to draft a Safety I think, or a ILB.
