Devils vs. Rangers, 3pm, NBC

vs.
3PM
NBC

Friends, please play this music to help say goodbye to the 2013 season.

We may have deserved better, we may have not, who am I to say. I went to a bunch of games, spent time with friends and family, had a lot of beers and pulled pork sandwiches at Dinosaur BBQ, and as always enjoy reading the psychotic rants on HFBoards. See you all in October.

Until then, here is a trip down memory lane to happier times. If there is one thing I have learned from the Rangers, it is that when your team sucks you should relentlessly assault your fans with images of success from a prior era. Enjoy.

WIN THIS GAME AND WIN THE LOTTERY

LGD

The season was too short to overcome losing both Brodeur and Kovalchuk for long periods of time (not to mention Henrique and Zubrus, etc..).

Injuries + the strike did this season in. The Devils would have easily made the playoffs, and it would be either the Rangers or Islanders that would have missed the playoffs.

We have the ''Offensive zone trap'' now. Trapping teams in our offensive zone. It's pretty effective when the team has enough finishers. You'll have to hope Hedberg gets a shutout. He gets the start tomorrow!

Is it me or do the Rangers have one of the worst logos? And it's not because I hate them. I don't know why anyone would rank that logo in the top 15. It's boring. Nothing tells me they play in NY besides the obvious "New York".

Nice job adding some Cornell in this thread. And yes I am ready to say a big goodbye to this season. **** off 2013~!

It was a fun quick season, too bad it ended up the way it did but the hockey gods simply didn't want us in the postseason. Next year should be pretty exciting with Boucher and Merrill both able to play for the big club, and perhaps our pick this year being NHL ready. To better times ahead!

Injuries are excuses. Lack of talent to develop the necessary chemistry is a fact.

Win the last game for pride.

Elias, I sincerely hope you are back but if not thank you and best wishes.

Watch the Rangers blow this game just to **** with our draft position.

I'm not saying injure any of their players obviously. But please Devils, exhaust the piss out of them tonight.

Win for pride. Force the Rags to be the 8th seed and get crushed by a top seed.

Please, Devils. Show the **** up this time.

This season started out really fun, then it got less fun, then comical, then "meh." Still, I enjoyed my first year as a STH, went to all 24 games, and am looking forward to next season. I still have hopes that Lou can get back into form and things will turn around.

As far as today's outcome, it'd be nice to win. I'm more hoping for a Wild loss and Columbus win.

This is going to be one of those games where I just check the score at 6-ish and move on. Would rather we don't finish last in the division but would also rather draft at least 10. More interested in the West games tonight.

Injuries are excuses, but the fact is the Devils would be in the playoffs without the myriad of injuries in a short season.

They're a pretty average team, but they're better than the Islanders and Rangers.

We are in a no lose situation. A win at the dump is always good and it may force them to play Pittsburgh.
A loss gets us to better draft position.

This * season was cursed from the start.
A new fresh and full season awaits and back to winning for the NJD.
