No Wild fan should have been cheering for the Wild to miss after the trade deadline, and no Wild fan had any reason to cheer for them to miss before the deadline.

Nugget from Elliote Friedman:

Quote:
29. A few teams are trying to sign goalie Michael Condon, who joined AHL Houston after his NCAA career ended at Princeton. Condon is 3-0 with a 2.39 goals-against average and a .919 save percentage for the Aeros. The Wild, Houston's parent club, is one of them. There were points this season where Montreal and Philadelphia checked him out. I suspect there are others, too.

heatley's injury really chokes the crap out of the Wild's flexibility next year in taking away that buyout option. might be forced to forgo any hope of Backs re-signing (and who says he still wants to play in the NHL anyway? Will have a couple kids by the time the season starts up next year. Hello Finland?) so get a handful of cheap goalies and hope one of them pans out.

I thought we could still buy him out as long as he was not placed on LTIR?

Heatley was never put on LTIR was he? They can still buy him out if he wasn't.

As far as I know, Heatley is not on LTIR and still can be bought out.

mmm...that isn't what i heard. but I hope you all are right.
edit: you sure LTIR has anything to do with it? Doesn't sound like something the players association would go for since LTIR is pretty much up to the team. they would have had to have seen that loophole.

re edit: i'm fairly certain i'm right.

Heatley isn't listed on LTIR or IR.

Too bad we can't convince MacT to take a vet to help the kids grow and we get anything for Heater.

I think Wild will try to move him while retaining some of the money his cap is what two mil then real money owed. At 5 or 4.5 cap he isn't bad if wild pick up two mil of his owed value. Health would be a 20g guy in regular season given his pace no. 3mil real pay for 20ish goals ain't bad

this is true, but I think you can buy out an injured player if the player agrees to it. IE- "Take the buyout or were going to have to trade you to the first team that will take you"

I hope they do. This team doesn't deserve it.

Late in the game, after a scrum that included Rupp and Konopka getting misconducts, Krueger put his No. 1 power-play unit out on a 5-on-3. Yeo flipped his lid.

So that's the reason he lost it? Not because his team was playing like ****, but because the other team put their best players on the 5-on-3?

Honestly, there could some massive shakeups if they miss out, to include Koivu losing the "C."

As I said, he may be a great coach when it comes to practice, but he CANNOT coach on gameday to save his life. Its actually pathetic

In that case there will have to be a new #1 center too. Humilating a proud person isn't the way to go if you still want them to play for you. Like I've said before, it would not make one ****ing single positive difference in this team's performance.
