You guys -- the end of the Jody Shelley/Matt Walker Era is finally upon us. After today, they will never be on our reserve list during in-season action ever again.

This is the first time in 45 years that the Flyers are ending the regular season in Canada.

I hope they can find something for Shelley to do in the organization. Good guy. Not sure what future is holding for Matt Walker.

Fantastic GDT thread. Sometimes I check out what other teams have posted up and don't comment, but this is stellar, kudos. Love the old Vial vs. Kordic clip - what a tilt.

Thank you. I have noticed in recent weeks that YouTube has removed various hockey clips. Not sure of the reason.

-------------------

Steve Mason is confirmed as tonight's goalie. No word yet on other changes from the last game.

An Ottawa writer mentioned only one lineup change from their last game -- involving forwards -- so that would indicate Craig Anderson is the goalie tonight.

One possibility is Mike Knuble could replace Adam Hall.

Hope they do dress Knuble. Most likely his last NHL game, I'd also dress Boosh as the back up too.

Hope we play a strong games and lose by 1. Sucks this is it for season.

Oh man. I'm pumped. Gagne is back and may be re-signed, Walker is going away, and Shelley is going away. Leighton is gone. The only relic of the generally disastrous 2010 offseason is Mez.

I viewed Akeson as Matsumoto, but the Flyers never even gave Jon one single game.

It would be great if the tank could do right by me for one time this year.

in akeson's defense he had less to work with (surrounding talent) compared to matsumoto and put up a better ppg this season then jon ever did (not by much mind you). i hear you though.

i think it has a lot to do with the fact that akeson worked hard on his defense and was actually playing top pk unit by the end of this season whereas jon had similar defensive problems but he never seemed to improve in that regard.

Rooting for a shellacking of the Sens for completely selfish fantasy reasons.

Even though I do want the best draft pick possible I'd really like to end the season with a win and enjoy the last Flyers game we'll be seeing for a while.

wow, i was hoping he was gonna be the other winger in the Schenn-Simmonds tandem as i think they compliment his game best but you can't go wrong playing with those two

edit: well if the team wins i really hope gags end with a 3pt night. not knowing if he'll be back here next season i love to see him get his 600th career pt as a flyer
