Some are saying the Eagles might be running the 4-3 under scheme, hense the Bennie Logan. He doesnt fit in the 3-4, and would be a great combo with Cox in the interior.

Graham-Cox-Logan-Cole

EDIT: Seems like its close to confirmed that we are playing a 3-4 defense.

He's a 3 technique who has long enough arms to play the 5 technique.

Underachieved this year, but if they can get him into shape and and light a fire under him, he could turn out to be a solid pick. We will see. I think people over value the value of nose tackles.

Ya. Don't hate the pick BUT I do think there were better choices for needs. Currently out DB looks like:

Fletcher Williams
Chung Phillips

That is...a defense with a bunch of wildcards.

Here is an "updated" depth chart in a sense.

It's hard for them to really mess up. This team has so many holes. Take BPA. You can't fix this team in one draft.

Look at the Colts last year. Worst team in the league. Only took 1 defensive player, who didn't even play for them, all while transitioning from a 4-3 to a 3-4, and made the playoffs. Obviously Andrew Luck was a big part of that, but the coaching was pretty good as well.

Some decent players still around:

Safety:
Philip Thomas: http://www.nfl.com/draft/2013/profil...mas?id=2539667

Cornerback:
Terry Hawthorne: http://www.nfl.com/draft/2013/profil...rne?id=2539238
Marc Anthony: http://www.nfl.com/draft/2013/profil...ony?id=2539209

QB (Yea, yea I know):
Zac Dysert: http://www.nfl.com/draft/2013/profil...ert?id=2539258
(If they take anyone, I'd take Dysert. Big athletic, can throw, run and take hits. Didn't get much of a look since he was in the MAC conference)

LB:
Chase Thomas: http://www.nfl.com/draft/2013/profil...mas?id=2539314

WR:
Quinton Patton:http://www.nfl.com/draft/2013/profil...ton?id=2539250
(Don't know how Patton is still around. Was reading around and he is 1st round talent type of receiver. Just played on a no name team. I'd rather go for need but might be too good to pass up with our first pick)

REALLY wanted Mathieu in this draft, but aside from that "miss", I'm really happy with the picks so far. I'm also enjoying watching the Redskins pick nobody and the Cowboys make stupid picks.

I like Barkley a lot. Having watched Brees in college, I think the comparison is fair.

Says a lot about Kelly's intentions, though. And now, what about Foles?

Woooo! I'm ecstatic. I think Barkley is going to be a lot better than people seem to give him credit for. This is coming from a USC supporter though.

The offense has been addressed. Now time for some players in the secondary.

Lane Kiffin is a terrible coach, Chip Kelly is much better. I like it.

I watched Dysert a lot since I went to Miami. He reminded me a lot of Roethlisberger in that he was huge and could take hits and still make a play, as you noted. However, I think Barkley was a better choice.

Hope we take CBs/S in the next couple picks...but I'd LOVE to see Chip and the gang take a flier on the injured Marcus Lattimore and Mike Mauti in the 6th/7th rounds. If Lattimore can recover from that horrendous injury, he can be the best RB in the draft.

Well I look at this. The OL is upgraded with Johnson. IF healthy, it should be a decent OL. Peters-Mathis-Kelce-Herremans-Johnson. When Barkley played behind a good OL, he had a great season. Behind a TERRIBLE one he struggled.

I do think Vick has the lead as the starting QB, but Foles and Barkey will push I think.

The Eagles have been following Lattimore closely. They don't have a 6th round pick.

Yeah no 6th round pick. As of right now we have one 5th round pick (136 overall) and three 7th round picks (212, 218 and 239 overall)
