Amusing... they were trying to practice while simultaneously "spying" on one another side X side. Interesting as well and analogous of the times that the Russians Ottawa Embassy would publish a "Bulletin" announcing their hockey team planned to introduce & institute "body charging" as part of their game, almost WWE like in precept, like the Undertaker or someone expounding upon how he's going to take apart Dwayne Johnson or whatever. Why signal that at all? Just do it. Shock them with the "rude play" and "foul pushing" as the Soviet scribes described it when watching the CCCP Team practising such.

Although body checking wasn't the topic of 2nd article, notice the team official goes out of his way to praise Nikiforov, Pantyukhov and Sidorenkov......the most physical players of that era.

Interesting - the Soviet official does use the word stronger to describe the result of their addition.
