I'd do it for Coburn + Talbot.

If they move one of the big 4 PHX would be adding we all know that. I can see Yandle moving this year and if he comes to EDM it will be something involving Gagner +. Gagner has really stepped it up this year. Maybe Gagner and PRV as mentioned last year or Gagner and Hemsky.

Remember when Horton was traded to BOS, it cost them the 15th over all pick, that was it. So 15th gets you Horton what type of player would get the 7th.

Looking for offers on this pick . Keep in mind we do not want draft picks coming back other wise we might as well keep our pick .

This is a deal best suited to a cap strap team . WE NEED USEFULLY PLAYERS NOW . So if your team is up against the cap lets hear your offers . Also we are not looking for 35 year old players and if the are RFA we must have a contract in place first . 1 year until UFA does not interested us

Oilers needs are , size , grit , D . Other pieces available is Hemsky any of our bottom 6 , prospects , out side of Klefbom . I also think we will be going forward with Gagner , so he is not available unless a 2 C is coming back
well if the previous pattern of value of threads regarding all things oilers continues-- the oilers first rounder maybe worth a 3rd or 4th rounder to other teams-- anything of value near the oilers gets immediately depreciated around this joint

Wasn't it Wideman and the 15th?

If Markov was 24 the Oilers would love it.

Being 34 he'd be better suited for a contender, then a team trying to be an up and comer.

Hemsky + 1st to Philly for Simmonds and Couturier.

Edmonton gets some functional size. Philly gets a top 6 winger plus potential back to back picks in the 7-8 range.

No, you're totally wrong.

The media talks about it to get all of the fans riled up so that the ratings are actually worth enough to get sponsors in a bidding war. It's all about money.

I doubt Philly does this. The Oilers 1st is probably going to be equivalent in value to Couturier. Simmonds, however, is worth more than Hemsky at this point.

Couturier is a recent top 10 pick who looks like he'll live up to his draft position. That part of the deal is a wash at best.

Simmonds is much more valuable than Hemsky whose only useful when he's scoring but that hasn't happened for sometime, he's a mirage that Oilers fans have been waiting to put things back together for far to long.

All I know is they aren't trading it just to get some veteran help. If the asset coming back isn't significant then they will make the pick.

PHX Can afford Hemsky and Gagner . How do the they pay them when they get a couple of thousand fans to a game . PHX will not be there in 5 years . Once they move back to the snow belt they will add some players until then , not much .

I agree that is why , i said not draft picks and no old players or close to being a UFA . But as you can see people do not listen . if we are getting crap players back and a later first we might as well make the pick

Man do you have any more credible insider information like this? You should post more secrets that you know!

I agree.

In a world where everyone has a rumour, I still believe Bob Mack before anyone else.

If they can one significant asset back I'm game to trade the pick, but not for a package of lesser garbage that most people propose.

I think that Gagner is not traded unless a big center is involved. Also I would be thinking that RNH's surgery would keep him out for the start of the season? (Please correct me if I am mistaken)
