For what? He's not going to be in the lineup when the playoffs start.

I don't think Ovi will sit. I wish Chara would. I thought they might leave Chara and Bergy home, but Bergy in the Globe today sounded like he was going all out for 2nd place.

Hate to root against Adam Oates, but whaddyagonnado?

Have fun with your daughter, LadyFan!

The Rangers can still get the 6 seed, if they win today and the Senators lose out.

Will be missing this one tonight. Hopefully they win, the Leafs beat the Habs and tomorrow is academic.

Geaux Beeaz.

The Bruins brought their full squad to Washington yesterday, minus Jaromir Jagr (flu-like symptoms) and Nathan Horton (upper-body injury). The Bruins are still fighting for second place in the Eastern Conference, so they will presumably dress their playoff roster against the Capitals.

Projected Bruins lineup

Milan Lucic-David Krejci-Rich Peverley
Brad Marchand-Patrice Bergeron-Tyler Seguin
Carl Soderberg-Chris Kelly-Kaspars Daugavins
Daniel Paille-Gregory Campbell-Shawn Thornton

Zdeno Chara-Dennis Seidenberg
Andrew Ference-Johnny Boychuk
Wade Redden-Adam McQuaid

Tuukka Rask
Anton Khudobin

Healthy scratches: Aaron Johnson, Dougie Hamilton, Jay Pandolfo

Ether way, I'd be happy not to have the bruins face the rangers in the first round.

Ottawa goes 1-1 or 0-1-1 they are the 7th seed

Islanders get 7th if sens go 0-2

Rangers get 7th if sens go 2-0 or 1-0-1

Isn't there a scenario where Ottawa could pass leafs for fifth?

Either way I am not a fan of losing on purpose to get the match up you want.

I would like to see the Bruins win the last two and take 2nd for home ice.

While I don't think home ice is as big a deal as some make it-two things make me want home ice for as many rounds as possible. First the Bruins have a very good home record this season-and second I think Tuukka is better on home ice. Four if his shutouts are at TD Garden. I want Tuukka playing as many games as he can at home.

Yes Ottawa goes 2-0

Leafs go 0-1

It would be

5 Ottawa
6 Toronto
7 rangers
8 islanders

This scenario would also set up a bruins Ottawa round 1 unless the bruins lost to Ottawa in OT

Assuming bruins win tonight

NESN is claiming NESN+ tonight....

I would love for Ottawa to finish 8th because they could absolutely beat Pittsburgh.

Bruins website says it is NBCSN... perhaps depending on where you live you either get Bruins or Red Wings?
