BTW, hopefully this draft will make Jets fans realize that I'm not biased against their drafting. They just normally suck at it. Idzik is already proving to be better than Tanny.

Pretty cool seeing 7 players from Rutgers getting drafted. Probably won't have more than 2 or 3 taken next year, at best.

I hope you're right though about these picks. They look like Satheresque picks - two way system guys in the first, skilled upside in the 2nd

Would've liked Maysonet much more than Cox.

Milliner should be fine. Will never be a star, but just a solid CB.

You have been very kind to the jets a lot of nice words. I like this draft. They drafted the best players available. i didnt expect them to fill every single hole. That takes 2 years. Next year they have even more picks.

Not going to pretend I know anything about the guys the Jets took today, but happy they are bringing in some youth for the offensive line. I'm interested to see the guy they got yesterday from Kent St.

Also hope the FB from Wake in the 7th round can beat out Lex Hilliard, he is terrible. There was no way they could fix everything in one draft, but I'm satisfied. Lots of picks next year, and a bunch of money, but I think Idzik will be smart in free agency, and not over spend.

I'm hoping Geno sits until about week 14, schedule isn't that bad for him, and he can get the feet wet. Schedule to end the year is vs Oakland At Carolina vs Browns at Miami. I do worry they will start him week 1, hope I'm wrong.

Really stoked about the Jets picking up Rontez Miles. I went to school with him

Really nice kid, hits like a ton of bricks and brings it for every game. Here is a Bleacher Report bit on him. The USA Today story about him and his half brother is great too.

Miles is a great PFA signing.

Some other interesting names that the Jets signed up: WR Zach Rogers, CB Mike Edwards and TE Chris Pantale. I'm also really high on the wideout from Lehigh, Ryan Spadola.

I really don't know what to think about Jets draft. Liked some of the picks. Wasn't a fan of Richardson and Geno Smith was a headscratcher to me. Had more holes to fill than a QB. For as bad as Sanchez is I don't think Smith will be much better. They kept showing passes he missed in college. Sanchez didn't do that and the Big 12 doesn't play any defense so numbers are inflated.

Smith is already better than Sanchez in almost every way. Heady player, makes multiple reads, much nicer touch on his passes, etc. You name it, he does it better. The Smith pick is one of the best picks in the draft. You get the best QB -- by a wide margin -- in the draft in the 2nd round? Doesn't get much better than that.

They did that because he was drafted by the Jets. They did the same thing with Milliner. It's a good story for them.

Well, that's depressing.

Congrats to Miguel on getting signed by an NFL team. Why does it have to be the ****ing Eagles?

I can't get this link to work (on my phone), but the Jets just released Tim Tebow.

There's a joke in this somewhere that I just can't make at the moment.
