sorry... cant make myself feel happy for CBJ.... and while if I could choose I would prefer Minnesota to miss, if we win tonight the tears of the Columbus fans will be adequate consolation for a worse draft slot and a minnesota playoff berth

and honestly if Columbus cant beat our AHL lineup when they are at home and have the playoffs in their grasp, they dont deserve the playoffs...

would rather lose because at the moment we're getting closer to #3 pick or possibly #2 still.

Columbus must be so used to tanking at the end of the season they forgot they are in a playoff race.

Completely disagree. This game means absolutely nothing. The difference between a Top 3 pick and picking at #6 is MASSIVE.

Whoever gets that eighth slot will probably only play four more games anyway. Would have hated to take this team into the playoffs and play the Hawks.

Apparently the captain doesn't see the need for a top 5 pick.

remember, i didnt say that was my preferred outcome tonight... i just said that if it works out that way at least there will be the satisfaction of ruining the CBJ season and making them leave our division muttering to themselves about Darth Vader and twitching at the thought of Shea Weber...

Wow I actually haven't seen a better case to lose a game in awhile.

-Tampa wants to assure that either MSL or Stammer wins the Art Ross so they're lighting up Florida.

-Colorado will only fall from 2nd to max 4th with a win (pre-lottery)

-Carolina is already out of the top 5 (pre-lottery obviously)

So yeah, good luck and try to lose. Is it illegal to pull your goalie when you're ahead?

God, I can just see us picking 7th this year, wouldn't surprise me with this being such a crappy season.

wow going from 2/3 to 6 ... trotz needs to make sure we lose. this is seriously ridiculous... from mackinnon to lindholm.. that sums up this franchise in short. mediocre at everything

so Trotz needs to tell the players to quit?

Columbus is so horrible if they can't beat this line-up.

Nope. During the 2006-2007 season Trotz pulled Vokoun when we got a powerplay against Anaheim. We were up 2-0. Sullivan scored a goal to put us up 3-0, and Giggy broke his stick on the crossbar.

Though if you pull your goalie in OT and lose you don't get the extra point. So I hope if Columbus ties it up and we go to OT, Trotz pulls Mason.

Well it worked so that's good, but why in the world did that happen?

How would you like to be Columbus? They are in a must win against an AHL line-up and they can't score...

on Chris freaking Mason...

and now they cant score against our pathetic penalty kill

does our PK have even one shorty all season?

and for the record, i guarantee you our guys would love to ruin the Jackets season.... those guys dont give a crap about our draft position... and in fact if they think about it at all they probably want us to draft worse... less likely to lose their spot to a high powered rookie

Yes, kicked in. Apparently one ref had called it a goal on the ice, another had overruled him. Sounds like it was a good goal and a bad call.
