It's been a painful season on ice so I'm actually noticing little things that have nothing to do with the scoreboard ... like the vector logos on the back of jerseys where the word "Reebok" should be. It's a much less painful focus than the over 20 shots allowed this period or Weber putting the puck through Mason's five hole.

and yet another microcosm of our season...... we score an own goal for them and yet we get a puck behind their goalie and it stays out..

Come on 101, we are virtually assured of receiving our overhyped messiah, what could be more exciting?

I don't see the issue in being OK with a loss in completely meaningless games.

The mild have to lose for Colb to get in. Mild has the tie breaker over the jackets.

And the same ones that are calling for us to tank to get one of those 2 will be the same ones talking about how Poile sucks for drafting him if he doesn't live up to their hype.

Hahah, yeah, that's usually the way it turns out. Ugh, losing sucks. This one Kings fan haunted one of our message boards for years after we took Dustin Brown, Jeff Tambellini, and Brian Boyle in the 1st round of the 2003 draft. The Ducks took Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry in that same 1st round. That didn't get old at all.

what will happen is whoever we draft will become Legwand 2.0 and whoever we leave on the board will be the next VLC

I'm just glad I can be excited for something after this **** season. I haven't been excited for a draft in a while.

No doubt, when't the last time we've had a 1st round pick?

Here's hoping we get that franchise forward we're all hoping we get.

You know no matter what, this dog of a season can only lead to bigger and better things. Come October we'll have all our big guns back and healthy, we'll have I'm pretty sure all our games on TV, and all the kids from Milwaukee got some great experience to make them viable pieces of the puzzle next year, and of course we'll still have a good draft pick. So through all the frustration of this season we can lick our wounds and just wait for a better stronger team next year. The future looks good. Go Preds!
