Fired up here! Can't wait til playoffs. I voted kings cuz we can still get 4th and play them. Honestly though, jut not St. Louis.

For tonight, let's go out on a positive note, but at same time if the tank to lose if the blues win so we don't play them, I'm cool with that too. Go Sharks!

SNOG 3-2 SJ

Thornton, Marleau, Couture
Richards, Kopitar

Fine either way. A loss = Vancouver. A win = higher chance of avoiding Chicago in the 2nd round.

Unless Chicago has some magic in them, STL is getting the 4th seed at this point.

Hi guys, Rangers fan here. I haven't read the thread, so don't kill me, just wondering if Niemi is starting tonight?

My motives are pretty selfish...I'm hoping Niemi doesn't get a win, so that Hank will be tied for the league lead with him . But I'll root for you guys if Niemi's on the bench!

Niemi could have 20 more wins than Ludqvist and he still wouldn't win vezina. I wouldn't worry about it.

Yeah. It's sad that the typical issue of Americans not knowing geography very well has hit the sports writer community so hard. Most of them apparently literally have no idea that there is anything but wilderness to the west of the Mississippi....

I agree, the bias against the West Coast has traditionally been very unfair ...not going to lie, I kind of hope that continues this year. But aside from the Vezina, it's more that Hank has never led the league (or tied for the league lead) in anything other than shutouts before...would love to see him have a #1 next to a statistical category for him.

Sharks' trap has a lot of passengers.

It's more like a Carnival cruise liner.
