So these two teams have yet to have a quality game against each other. The 1st game of the season was a dog fest, and the 4 others were blow outs by one of the teams. Nothing like playing Boston and Ottawa, which are intense hard fought games.
All things considered I'd prefer to play the Leafs over either the Sens or the Isles, which is our choices right now.
Guys. We aren't expected to go far in the playoffs against the Leafs. We just aren't. We have had zero playoff experience, we've never made it to the ECF in the last 2 years at all and beat two of the best teams including former stanley cup champs x2.
We haven't been 1st-3rd in the LEAGUE all season up until recently.
No, the Leafs have THIS one in the bag because they've finally managed to squeek into the playoffs for the first time since we realized the earth revolves around the sun.
We may as well just hand over the Stanley Cup to the Leafs. No one can ever beat them at all. Why even try playing against them? They KNOW that during the playoffs regular season means nothing and the entire game/energy/plan changes.
"Subban wouldn't make it out here in the west where teams play actual defence and don't just rover around. Its no wonder he broke out in the year where there was no inter conference games." -Pure (Avs fan)
So, question - Mclaren 24 mins in penalties for one incident while losing in the third. Macarthur 14 mins in penalties later in the same period, same situation. Orr out looking to go at the final whistle.
Was this the last gasp of this ***** for the season or does Mclaren play in the playoffs at all? Does the NHL just give him a game now for his double-misconduct shift, does the team say thanks but why don't you step aside for a hockey player now that the its playoffs, or does Mclaren play game one? I'm sure hoping for the latter.
