Official Stanley Cup playoffs discussion thread

We had this thread last year, thought it would be good to have it this year too.

Minnesota is really making it hard on themselves after 1st, would much rather see Columbus and them making it instead of Detroit.

Hoping that Sharks make it far, but the odds are against it.

I wouldn't mind seeing these teams win the whole thing:

East: Caps (they've waited long enough), Isles (same as Caps), Sens (only Canadian team I'd like to win)

West: Blues (long wait), Wild (crazy fans, would deserve it), Jackets (feel good story for the league)

Minnesota wins, they're in. Minnesota loses, even in OT, they're out.

Oh man.

So:

Hawks vs Wild
Ducks vs Wings
Vancouver vs Sharks/Kings
Blues vs Kings/Sharks (higher seed could change)

Not going to start thinking about the East seeds, too tired.

I'd love to see a LA and Chicago West final with a Pittsburgh and Boston East final.

Islanders and Caps are my darkhorses on East, Minny and the Blues on the West.

Anyone else ponder a possible Florida/Colorado final in 2016, 20 year reunion?

Bruins are my second favorite team. Obviously this enhances my Habs hate, I'm hoping they both make it to 2nd round and Bruins stomp the Habs!

I'm pulling for the Islanders as they're my second favorite team, but I cannot see how they have a likely chance at beating the Pens.

I'll go with:

Pens in 6
Sens in 7
Rangers in 6
Bruins in 6

Hawks in 5
Ducks in 6
Canucks in 7
Kings in 7

What do you guys think about the season all in all? (not the panthers)
These playoffs are going to be awesome and i think there were some pretty sweet moments this season with the hectic deadline and some sweet goals

Check out some of the highlights:

Did anyone see that ot goal by the hawks tonight. When your defensemen can make passes like that out of your own zone it makes the offense a million times more lethal.

I wish our guys can develop to a level where they have the ability to make breakout passes that end up on the tape of our streaking offensive players.

Breakout passes and lack of them are a big reason why our offense sucks.

That's because Campbell and Kulikov are the only two guys that can make a proper outlet pass. Kuba, Jovo, Strachan and even Guds are too slow to even put themselves in a position to make a pass like that.

You need a good breakout pass from the d-men but you also need forwards who get open, put themselves in a position to receive the pass, and the proper coaching to implement that. For whatever reason, I feel like I always see our forwards receiving the outlet pass with their backs facing up the ice.

Prust has a point though, Sens coach does look a bit like a walrus.

The hit was clean IMO, unfortunate that Eller landed face first.
