Can someone PM me link for the post game stuff? I've never witnessed one.

Now to the game:

Iginla not only looks lost on his off wing, he also looks like a bad hockey player. Jarome Iginla is not bad at hockey.

4th line is literally useless, as in it has no use. If it was currency, it couldn't afford to contribute to a "take a penny, leave a penny" tray. It would only be able to take a penny, thus technically stealing.

Breaking up 14-71-18 would be a fireable offense. This is coming from DB's staunchest defender.

In a perfect world, it would be a 4th line of Vitale-Juice-Beauner, but I'll settle for Adams in there as long as #15 isn't in the lineup.

Star of the night: The biggest Joe Vitale fan (some little girl) in the world. She also got Beau's jersey which was great.

Beau seems like a very likeable guy. Down to earth and very respectful.

Yeah he didn't know what to do. It was kind of funny to see his reaction though.

He's a dreamBeau-t. Awkward moment for Despres, too. Not much he could do there.

+ Kunitz being happy to be back with Geno and Nealer.

Let's hope he makes it known to Disco that's where he wants to be.

Is it apt or sad if this gives me a Beauner ?

Also, one line finished this game with minuses. Kennedy, Glass, Adams all no points and -1.

That game may have convinced Bylsma to drop his Iginla-Malkin-Neal line.
That in itself would be a bigger victory that the one we just witnessed.

Also, it looks like we're gonna start the playoffs with that bottom 6 :

Morrow-Sutter-Cooke
Glass-Jokinen-Adams

My brain does spend an inordinate amount of time thinking of insults. I was told a long time ago it was something I needed to work on, but I'm almost 40, so that's pretty much that.

I think he may have been preparing to sit Glass by using all those different guys on the PK. We can only hope at least.

Cooke needs to be on the 3rd line and Dupers can pair up w/ Iggy for Crosby.

Then Beau-Jussi-Adams.

I have no idea how I forgot about Cooke.

Too many players on this freaking team...

Plus

+ Geno with Neal and Kunitz: Please dear lord do not change this line. They are un-****ing-believable. This line looks like they didn't miss a beat from the regular season last year. That also gets Iggy with Sid.

Kunitz adding that grinding ability to this line makes it run. It's like an expensive sports car. On the outside you have Neal and Geno that make it the dynamic and top of the line, but you still need gas to go anywhere. That is #14. He does all the small things needed on that line. You need a chip off the boards? Kunitz has it. You need someone to backcheck or forecheck? #14 will do it.

This line was so ****ing good.

+ Sutter with Cooke and Morrow: Man that line just trolls all over teams. I love what they bring. We discussed it a lot last game and I can't wait to see them in playoff mode. I really like that line.

+ Jussi: All he does is produce. What else can I say?

Minus

- D zone: D-zone was a bit of an issue and needs cleaned up before Wednesday arrives. Just simply that. I have faith in the group. They've responded well to bad defensive zone games before.

- 4th line: What the hell is going? Glass, Adams, and TK are all terrible. I trust Adams will elevate his playoff game. He's done it every year. But Glass/TK are BAD.

- Despres: I hate to give the kid crap. He was amazing for half the year and is a future star for this team. He just fell apart and couldn't maintain his strength at the NHL level. This offseason needs to be dedicated to strength building. He needs it.

Food for thought....

Beau Bennett: 26 Games played: 3 goals, 11 assists, 14 pts. +7
Tyler Kennedy: 45 Games played: 6 goals, 5 assists, 11 pts. -5
I said going into the game that they'd need to light it up and then some for Bylsma to go away from Iginla on LW with Geno and Neal. They did that and then some.

As for your food for thought, Bennett will play before Kennedy. The question is whether he'll play before Glass. 2/3 of the fourth line is set when Sid returns. It's Jokinen and Adams. The question is the third guy. I think it's going to be Glass.

BTW, a monster + tonight for BORSCHT. Sid is the best player in hockey. BUT, Geno on borscht is pretty damn close.

The good news is Morrow-Sutter-Cooke looked very good tonight.
Morrow and Jokinen can really play anywhere.
Iginla, however, can not. Stick him on the right wing with Crosby or Sutter preferably and you can't screw this lineup up.

Martin was very good for missing the last month. Hasn't lost his fitness level from the looks of things. Just has to get his strength back in his hand to really fire that puck again.

Will be nice to have Orpik back.

Niskanen didn't have a very good hockey game and of course Despres.

Yes. Yes. Yes.

Unfortunately that is probably you and me.... and most this board.... digging a little deep into the funny closet.
