After a tough patch it's great heading into the playoffs on a high note

Man I'm loving this. It's exactly like my hockey locker room with the excuses and the baseball and basketball bs. And they wonder why I don't pass the puck...

Also, no idea why a leaf fan would want to come to this board after a game like this. They are so insanely insecure (not new info), we may need to have an intervention. Maybe that's why they erected the CN tower.

The best part of this win is the Habs looked like the Habs from before their losing streak again. That's what has me most excited. I hope this means they're going to be back to that form rather than the joke from the past couple weeks going into Winnipeg.

A Habs-Leafs series would certainly be entertaining.

However, if the Sens win tomorrow, we get to play the Rags.

Nope.

Caps-Rangers is locked.

If sens win, we play them. Anything less and we play the blue jays.

Problem is, the Rags have the tie-breaker, so we would end up playing the Sens. I rather the leafs than the sens imo.

No winner of game banner for us. I just want to move on. I don't all of a sudden think Toronto is a garbage team. They had a great season, have a solid team and would be a tough team in the playoffs. Instead of all this "We want them" idiocy that Toronto hypes up, I realize (maybe cuz I'm used to the playoffs) that you should be very careful for what you wish for. Reg. season means nothing. Ask the bruins, on both sides of that equation.

Just like they forgot the 5-2 Habs win, they'll somehow forget this win. It won't count. We're soft. Price is a sieve. Leafs are gods.

Did you guys see that moment when McDonald and Sittler were actually the guys behind those masks!? That was pretty funny (honestly). Cool to have two guys who represent the Leafs kind of being good in the past. Yet they tell us 93 was a long time ago.
Actually it was Sittler and Clark.

Absolutely. I had forgotten what we had looked like when we were dominant. This game was played so perfectly. I loved all the tiny details. And Tinordi!

Though Emelin used to fill that spot.

I forgot about the tiebreaker rules... would we rather play the Sens or the Leafs now?

It's not their fault. Planes haven't been around too much longer than their last Stanley Cup win.
That's just asinine.... I don't know how you could hate a city because of a sports team.... I would never cheer for the Habs but I LOVE Montreal, such a beautiful city. I also wish Montreal still had the Expos.

Congrats on the win. The better team won. Unfortunately that didnt stop the Leafs board from saying that the Leafs >>> Habs.... I on the other hand think it would be a great series, even if it only SLIGHTLY ignites our old rivalries. I'm tired of the Senators lol.

Good luck guys.

Is there a clip where Eller and Moen (I think) was toying with the Leafs during that Shorthanded-PP in the 2nd?

i'm glad the Leafs tried to goon things up at 4-1

unlike most people I think this is how we're going to beat them! there's a difference between "playing a physical game" and "playing a goon game", the second one won't win you any playoff series

90% of the toronto fan base on hf boards wasn't even born nor their parents had any idea about conceiving them.
