It looks like Pominville has a concussion and is doubtful for the series and the mostly-bad-anyway Heatley is out. Their a half-baked team right now, just don't see how the wild can pull it off.

Does anyone have an idea where LeBlah fits into the prospect pool? I understand he's a hawks RFA and has had ties to the team for awhile so I assume he'll re-sign.

addition: Anyone remember Todd White?

As far as centers go you'd have to figure he slots in behind Pirri. Whether Pirri is actually better or not is a good question, but the guy has had 2 full years in a professional league. I'd say LeBlanc is behind the Morin/Pirri/Smith group but definitely ahead of Danault and McNeill.

Yeah, he'll resign. Chicago didn't court him and sign him, only to let him walk as an RFA.

I'd say, right now (discounting Saad):

1. Teravainen
2. Danault
3. McNeill
4. Pirri/LeBlah
5. Pirri/LeBlah
6. Clendening
7. Morin
8. Johns
9. J.Hayes
10. K.Hayes

Yeah maybe I am very poor at prospect analysis....

BUT.....

I'd have to say that guys like Morin & Pirri who have had success in the AHL would have to be above guys who have only done it in juniors. They are all really close though, I guess.

Yeah that fits with my totally not knowing what I'm talking about after seeing him for two games but thinking he's a better hockey player than JHayes at least.

Minnesota is going to surprise some people. I see this series going at least 6 games.

This is an ideal situation . . . the one I was hoping for coming into this weekend. Our first round opponent is a team that has looked really bad for several weeks now, and while a series with Detroit would be fun, we can hope they beat Anaheim and then we'd get them in the 2nd round. Detroit seems to have Anaheim's number this season, though we'll see how that plays out over a full playoff series.

I still don't see this being a cakewalk, but of all the playoff teams in the west, Minnesota is on the worst current trajectory.

Eh. Morin is a better NHL prospect than Pirri is. Clendening, too.

In that case, maybe I should make it a GleeDT.

Hawks in 5. I would think maybe 6 if Pomminville was playing the entire series, but since he has a concussion he's more than likely out, so I don't give them much of a chance unless their goaltending all of a sudden turns just all God

If I remember right, that was because our GDT for that game was childish/trollish.

I think Hawks in 5-6, but this won't be an easy series, Wild have talent on both ends and a good goalie.

I finished the GleeDT, guys. I put in a lot of effort despite being almost done with a different thing I had planned.

I'd say, right now (discounting Saad):

1. Teravainen
2. Danault
3. McNeill
4. Pirri/LeBlah
5. Pirri/LeBlah
6. Clendening
7. Morin
8. Johns
9. J.Hayes
10. K.Hayes
Not sure what you mean by "right now" but in terms of readiness to contribute to the NHL and I have watched 15+ AHL games which may not mean much but my evaluation is very different and many might not agree but here goes:

1. Smith/Labah (Smith has been on a tear lately and is most ready IMO)
2. Morin/Hayes (Will benefit from some NHL time and are almost ready)
3. Pirri (Still lacks intensity when without the puck / lazy on the back check)
4. Clendening/Stanton (Clen needs D work/Stan ready for #6 D roll and still 23)
5. Teravainen (Just a guess as I cant evaluate what I cant see)
6. Denault (from what I saw the 2 games watched not ready yet but still young)
7. McNeil (Same as Denault)

IIRC, it was because GDT was not made in time. So who is going to be the GDT nazi this time? The last one didnt do a very good job

The Wild have no connection to the North Stars other than both located in Minnesota.
