3.6 percent.

From mynhldraft.com:

Quote:
1st - 25.0% - Florida Panthers
2nd - 18.8% - Colorado Avalanche
3rd - 14.2% - Tampa Bay Lightning
4th - 10.7% - Nashville Predators
5th - 8.1% - Edmonton Oilers
6th - 6.2% - Carolina Hurricanes
7th - 4.7% - Calgary Flames
8th - 3.6% - Buffalo Sabres
9th - 2.7% - Philadelphia Flyers
10th - 2.1% - Dallas Stars
11th - 1.5% - New Jersey Devils
12th - 1.1% - Phoenix Coyotes
13th - 0.8% - Winnipeg Jets
14th - 0.5% - Columbus Blue Jackets
This was updated yesterday (the 26th) so the teams may not be in the right order, but the percentages are right and the Sabres are still in the 8th slot.

Sucks for us that Minnesota won, but you've got to take what you can get and getting slightly better odds plus having Philly move in the standings is still really good for the Sabres. All in all, considering some of the 'tank' jobs we've hoped for in past years, the 8th pick in this loaded draft is a great consolation prize.

Basically we've got about a 90% chance to pick 8th.

How mad would this forum be if we had a game tonight and we won and moved down 5 spots in the draft like Philly did. ^_^

If they lost to who they should have lost to over the past couple of weeks they would be top 5.

Notable players to be picked 8th overall: Darryl Sittler, Bob Gainey, Ray Bourque, Grant Fuhr, Jeremy Roenick.

However, I'm also seeing a lot of busts and average NHL players.

The two Pittsburgh wins alone would put them at 5th.

Doesn't matter at this point though.

Ottawa win tonight and Minny's pick turns from 17th to 16th. Well, provided they don't go on a playoff run and knock off Chicago and Anahiem to get to the conference finals. If that happens our Minny pick goes in the pooper to 27-30.
