Good riddance to Belanger. Haven't had somebody so useless since Patick O'Sullivan. The guy is a self-centered wad to boot.

Take the poison out of the room. Fill it with guys who will do whatever it takes to win, who compete night in and night out.

He says that someone else should have been scratched instead of him? Can't really see anything wrong with that, either.

It bottles the mind. Still pissed we didn't trade him.

Fair enough, but this is the sort of thing the Oilers can't seem to avoid. Whether or not Whitney is justified in making these comments or not. Prospective free agents around the league listen to these kinds of things and it makes them think twice about signing here.

Sure, but if we didn't know previously, we know now that Whitney will be elsewhere.

Mind as well cross Yandle off permanently.

If we do sign Streit, I do fear the luster will dull quickly.

Someone who isn't entitled wouldn't make the comments he did.

Those comments are just ridiculous coming from any professional, but even moreso coming from someone who wasn't contributing at all.

It'd be like if I was the one of the worst employees at my job, and before I got fired I told everyone that I wanted to be part of a better company and that someone else deserved to get fired or suspended before I did.

He might mean in general, there were players that shouldve been scratched.

To be honest, almost all but Hall, Yakupov and Gagner shouldve been scratched at some point [or at least their play at specific points justified it].

On D, aside from his PB peers, I wonder if he's *****ing about Petry and Nick. Both brutal during parts of the season

I wonder if Whitney will wait to see where Jagr signs first. Wouldn't want to end up in the same division and get burnt by a 63-year-old on a regular basis.

Yup. I hope that MacT isn't swayed by Krueger's obviously love affair with Streit.

No, I think he should have kept his mouth shut like any self-respecting professional would do.

Nice to see you totally ignored my point though and instead insisted on repeating a strawman.

One of my fears is signing Streit to a 4 year 4-5 million dollar deal. Not a chance the contract Streit signs is going to be worth it in 2-3 years time.

Belanger has always been a ***** in the locker room apparently so he might just be bought out. Something along the lines of prima donna. Hell, he dresses like some man-diva from France, driving a Porsche Panamera.

Normally I would tend to agree. But this isn't the first time a player has had some damning things to say about our organization.
Wouldn't it be funny: MacT's big signing-Ryan Whitney at reduced cost...after all, Whitney admitted to making lots of money already anyway

Ryan Whitney's raw audio is much more politically correct.

The bridge is burned and the ashes submerged underwater guarded by a troll, but I'm lowering the pitchfork.

Have to at least appreciate the fact that Whitney waited until now before blasting the team through the media. Shame we won't get anything in return for him though.

You blabber about being a professional and think that it is a point. I could say the same, you just ignore everyhing I said and keep on whining that everyone should act like you want. Blah.

Wow, really guys?
I remember this board demanding Whitney be benched and fistric be played
Whitney was absolutely brutal before getting scratch several times. He didn't give a damn he was planning on leaving this org anyway.

Yeah, I found it to be just very honest of what he thinks and where he wants to go from here. He basically admitted he wants to be a role player on a deep team. He admitted his ability is different and that he knows he was not part of he plans here.

He sounded like a guy who needs a change badly. Whatever, he's gone now. Next.
